Since OP claims that his creep had long head, it has to be different from what I saw. The stilt-leg I saw looked like it had ran into a wall. Flat face.

Despite what you may think about Texas, we can't just shoot anyone on our property. However they tend to prosecute trespassers heavily around here, which is how we keep tourists out of our river. If you park on the side of the road you will get towed and if you walk through pretty much any dirt to get to the water, you're trespassing.

>> Texas Stiltwalker Guy !7Y3t87ncyI
>>1025171
It's nothing really except it creeps me out, and rich people apparently rent it out to hold very strange parties. There's a mostly submerged low water crossing to get to it that looks impassable to all but the off-roadiest of vehicles. I saw about ten black hummers with tinted windows crossing it towards the church one time.

Another time I heard some loud thumping bass coming from up there, so I walked up the road to take a look. It was packed full of very expensive cars. There's a stained glass window that faces the river and I could see silhouettes of people in it with their arms raised, jumping around like it was a rave or something. Then some guys wearing tuxes in a golf cart chased me off the property.

In a less concrete way it just makes me feel kinda uneasy and cold when I go up there, but I still go up and check it out again every once in a while just because I'm curious.

Other paranormal history- there's the glowing-eyed girls. That's not really in town though, but on a road leading out of it. Actually, that one IS /x/-worthy.

Right after I graduated high school I moved out of wimberley but came back every few weekends to see my family and high school friends. I would usually come in pretty late because I had a late class on Friday and it was a long drive. So about 2 AM, I'm driving along the home stretch. I don't have my high beams on, so I'm basically looking at the grass on the side of the road coming into range of my lights and the reflective stripes in the middle.

All of a sudden a larger shape shows up in my headlights. My brain just has a split second to register that it's two young girls standing by the side of the road, one taller with longer hair and her arm around the shorter one. They both look like they're wearing nighties and they both seem to be facing away, looking down the road in the direction I'm heading. So my brain registers this and goes WHAT and I turn my head to look at them clearly. At the same time, THEY both simultaneously turn and face me, and their eyes are just pure glowing white. Then they get out of my headlights and I hit the brakes. I turn around and there's nothing there.

Naturally I said "hey, it's 2 AM, I don't have the best lighting conditions, it's probably just my brain making something out of nothing." Went home, went to sleep, next day I called one of my friends and went over to his place to play the vidya. I tell him about that, phrasing it from the beginning as just some kind of weird hallucination I had, and the first thing he asks me is "were they digging?" I say no, and he tells me he's seen them, he named two or three other people who have seen them, and said that when he and one of the other people saw them they had little shovels and they were digging a hole on the side of the road, but there was no hole or disturbed ground in the morning.
>> Anonymous
I've... experienced these creatures. They are very large, fast, and they look menacing, but they're really quite harmless.

I know no one will believe me, but one approached me just a few weeks ago. There's a river behind my house surrounded by thick trees. I go there a lot to think because the place just has a really calm air around it and it relaxes me. Almost a month ago my mom and I had had a fight so I was stressed and I went back there to just be alone and think. The sun was just setting so I took a flashlight with me.

When I got back there I just sat down and closed my eyes and just cleared my mind. It felt like it was only a few minutes, but at least an hour must have passed because when I opened my eyes it was pitch black outside. The sky was cloudy so I didn't even have the moon or stars for light. Then like half a minute after I opened my eyes I became aware of -something- near me. Then I heard rustling and I could tell something had just sat down next to me. I wasn't that scared, figuring it might be a rabbit or a deer, since I don't really believe in ghosts and all that.

I almost had a heart attack when I turned on my flashlight. I expected to see a little bunny or a young deer or something, and instead there's this giant hairy head with plate sized eyes staring at me. It's head was a little taller than I was sitting. I couldn't move, and then it lightly butted me with it's head, like cats do. Then it just laid its head down and seemed to go to sleep. I realized it wasn't going to hurt me because it would have already.

I'm not sure how long passed after that, but eventually I stood up to walk away. It watched me the whole time, head cocked to the side.

Again, no one is going to believe this shit, but I swear on my life that it's true. I firmly believe that they will not harm anyone.

The story sucks. It was late at night about 16 years ago and i saw something that looked a hell of a lot like OP's pic (<--- this one.) It was I think closer than his sighting, maybe 20-30 feet away but I didn't have a flashlight. From what I could tell by the moonlight it was maybe 12 feet tall and really matted/filthy. I couldn't say as to the color due to the poor lighting. Location, as I posted before was Tucker Lake in OC, Indiana.

my new very far fetched theory

Some kind of rare mammal that spends most of its time below river beds/lake beds only coming out at night to feed on what i can assume as some kind of tree ( judging by its height ) has large eyes to see clearly in the night...makes sense

I've seen it, or others that look like it, since then. Usually just before the sun sets, and they're always running from me when they see me or I see them. Like OP described, they don't make any noise when they run. Seeing this huge thing run so fast so quietly is mindboggling.

The stuff I didn't share is inconsequential really. Little things friends didn't want me saying about them. They don't really affect it much. Mellow out man.

im out of ways to research this things authenticity...and none of the areas of sighting are close enough for me to research personally...

If this thing is real it's probably an animal that somehow has gone undiscovered. I know at least half of the witnesses are trolling, it could be all of them.

Last night there were almost a dozen.

I should ask people I know if they have ever seen anything like it. I found it especially weird that nearly everyone had a dream or an old drawing or something of things exactly like it though. Hell after the whole phsychic powers shebang I'm willing to believe just about anything that makes sense.

anyone willing to repost the original story?

Oh hell I've seen one of these bastards, scared me fuckless.
I live in Northern Florida, in a place called Dalketh, damn so small even the folks who live in the nearest away don't know about it. But there is a creek that is a branch off of a larger River, and is surrounded by woods/swamp area. Anywho, down from the house is a good sized clearing in the woods, I mean not like empty but the trees are thin and it's fringe area on the creekside. It's nice and quiet so I go and lay around and such some nights.
Well one night when I was snorlaxing it up watching turtles and such I hear something come crashing through the woods. Since it's swampy area and shit there was squelching and rotten trees breaking. In all of my bravery I squeak and scrabble gracefully over by the break wall, a good three feet of iron and cement and cower. I hear the crashing and such stop and hear/feel a thud from the other side. I manage a glance of perfect fearlessness and see what is, well, like an Anorexic elephant/giraffe. And the smell of this thing...like river mud. I only get a short few seconds of this damn thing before it is off and gone into the woods on the other side.
The creek it jumped was roughly around only twenty or so feet across, and it landed in the swampy part of the other side, so even if I had a camera I couldn't stick the lens into the damn murky water and get a shot.
And it was making like a keening sound. Like ca-reet. But for something so big it was so high pitched.
tl;dr, I am a brave motherfucker.

Okay so I started a thread on /b/ about this and they said it was /x/ territory. I've never really been to this board so pardon any offenses I commit to /x/ customs. I know the reputation of anyone coming from /b/ to another board, but I hope you can look past that and give me some help here.

I live in the Texas hill country by a river in a small town and I had some coworkers over tonight. One of them hadn't seen my river yet and I'd been telling her how awesome it was, but it was raining when they got here. It just stopped raining a little bit ago so we all walked down to the river in the moonlight to check it out. You have to walk down this tree-lined path off the road, which takes a turn and goes downhill to the river. There's a bank on the other side covered with trees that goes back maybe 15 yards from the edge of the water until it reaches a cliff wall that goes up maybe 10 yards and is pretty steep. It's dark but the moon is giving us some light because Texas weather can never make up its mind if it's raining or clear and our eyes have adjusted at this point.

We brought a couple beers with us and we're sitting on the rocks talking, my buddy jarrett is sitting across from me with his girlfriend and this new girl is sitting next to me. He's in the middle of a sentence, looking between me and the girl next to me, when he looks back over both of our shoulders, widens his eyes and cuts off what he was saying with "holy fuck" in this really quiet voice.

We turn around and I barely have time to register what I'm seeing because it was dark. There was something black about half as tall as the cliff, so 15 feet tall-ish, on these extremely spindly legs noiselessly sprinting through the trees on the opposite bank. I couldn't make out the shape too well but my impression was that it was covered in long hair and its body and head were kind of like a dog looking down, but stretched longer. Most of its height was in its legs, which were really thin. Jarrett turned on the flashlight and shone it across the water at the thing and it stopped moving and turned to look at us. It had humongous eyes that reflected the light from the flashlight. After a split second of this it turned away from us and just scaled the cliff as easily as it was striding across the ground and disappeared from sight.

We stared for a second and then we just ran back to my house. We shat bricks over what we saw, and then they all just went home.

All four of us saw the thing and we all seemed to be in agreement on what it looked like. I think my heart rate finally went back to normal just before I started writing this, and now it's back up. What happens now? Do I call animal control or something? I don't know what this thing is, if it's dangerous, or what. I don't want to go outside or even look out my window at the trees. Also I didn't score with the new girl and we left like 5 unopened beers on the bank of the river. What the fuck.

Everything after the first paragraph was copypasta'd from my /b/ thread.

but it seems too believable to be alien....i mean there is already basically an exact clone of this animal living (giraffe)....in all honesty i think that a giraffe even sounds LESS believable than these stilt walkers with there freak necks and whatnot

so far the theory accepted by /x/ is they are

Some kind of rare mammal that spends most of its time below river beds/lake beds/caves only coming out at night to feed on what i can assume as some kind of tree ( judging by its height ) has large eyes to see clearly in the night

How about a Llama skull? It could also be that, or as some else said before, possibly a giraffe. One thing is for certain though, that's not a monster or unknown animal, it can only be one of those three herbivores that I've suggested.

>>1025816
Well, shit. The only other creature that I can think of that has a similar looking skull is a crocodile, but even that doesn't fit. The teeth are wrong and the thing seems to have fur. But judging from the way the body is positioned, it either has no legs or short stubby ones, like a crocodile or alligator. I must admit, I haven't a clue as to what this thing could possibly be. I mean, it's obviously rotted to the point of being unrecognizable, but even then, it really doesn't look like anything I've seen before.

dolphins have no teeth.. plus, their skull is much narrower.

pic related, it's a dolphin skull.
>> Anonymous
>>1025834
Dolphins do have teeth, have you ever actually looked inside a living ones mouth? Also, there are a whole bunch of different dolphin and whale species, meaning that they all don't have the same skull structure. I'm pretty sure that guy is right, it appears to be a dolphin. The pics appear to be taken on some sort of coastline or beach and the skeletal structure is very reminiscent of a large dolphin or small whale. And the "fur" is obviously just decomposing tissues, not fur at all.
