Quite possibly, your sexual reaction to scary shit (such as the dog-headed manbeast in that picture AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) is your mind's way of reaffirming life. It's the same for people who enjoy having sex in a graveyard: You defeat death, or in your case, the fear of death, by creating more life.

A basic understanding of behavior, cognition and neuroscience can help here.

Basically a woman wants somebody to protect her. You have chosen a protector, that is, your boyfriend. When you get scared that biological resource and end product of millions of years of evolution called the brain, will cause you to seek out your mate and protector. A sexual response is just a way to reinforce that bond that you already have.

This would also go a long way into explaining the time-honored tradition of bringing your date to a horror movie in order to "achieve results".

I just get a really cozy feeling inside from reading/watching scary stuff. preferably at night, and with some fitting musics.

I mainly like, oh I hate not knowing what to call it, those wierd unexplainable and sorta epic themes. Like Lovecraft and Roadside Picnic (Stalker), holders, SCP etc. the things that make you feel small so to speak. it's just... cozy.

It's called cosmicism, a philosophy first presented by H.P. Lovecraft. It's a bit like nihilism, in that it claims humans are pointless dust, but different in that there ARE grand and important things going on in the universe, they're just things that we can't possibly understand or relate to.
