Good Lord, already? Don't waste time, do you?

I think we'll need to start standardising some of the Protocols, security levels and such.

Item#: SCP-003

Special Containment Proceedures: Item SPC-003 must be exposed to a temperature no less than 35 degrees, and if at all possible above 100. In an emergency situation, it is advised the nearest attendants use body heat to keep SCP-003 above the critical temperature. Additionally, any attendant having to find themselves needing to use these methods are to immediately report for sterilization.

Description: Found with SCP-002 and SCP-001. See files for details as to circumstances. Object appears to be made of chitin, hair and nails of unknown biology, arranged in a configuration similar to a computer motherboard. Was found upon the stone tablet it currently resides upon. Removal from said tablet is unadvised except in case of emergency procedure above.

The origin of the runes on the tablet are of unknown dialect, and flicker with pale tones. These are considered benign effects of communication, and can be ignored.

Additional: During power surge on date XX-XX-XX, runes flickered in tones of red and yellow, and a noted increase in radiation across the spectrum increased in SCP-003's containment room. It is unknown if SCP-003 caused the power surge or if the surge caused this event.

Additional: Managed to link SCP-003 to SCP-1194 for analysis of functions. SCP-003 is now considered sentient and to be kept 1 km from SCP-002 and the resulting by-product SCP-2754 at all times

But seriously, some Protocols should be defined and collaborated. It would be super sweet if this things start having some standardization going on between them.

Item#. SCP-363 Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-363 must be kept in a large enough cell to
accommodate it's size as well as SCP-360, SCP-361 and SCP-362s (See enclosed Document 56B for details),
currently located in Cell 82. Subjects prefer an environment with simulated wind. As a result, the electric fan
enclosed in Cell 82 is to be on for 5 hrs. during any given day. Subjects are generally docile and can usually
be approached by 1 - 3 personnel at once. Upon entering Cell 82 SCP 360, 361 and 362 may become amorous,
attempting to make physical contact with personnel. *PERSONNEL ARE ADVISED NEVER TO ATTEMPT TO
INDULGE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH SCP 360, 361 AND/OR 362.* A tested and accepted response is
to smile and bow one's head. Personnel who harbor fear or negative emotions should not enter Cell 82.

Description: Discovered in Royal Prussia, February 1454 during the Thirteen Years' War in the city of
Gdansk. It has never been seen without SCP-360, 361 and 362. Horns resembling tree branches sprout from
it's head, which is lacking in a lower jaw. Body texture has a silk quality, usually covered in a red substance
which resembles string. Red flower-like items seep regularly from it's 'mouth' and seem to have some kind of
connection with the branches on it's head. The small wings on it's back suggest it was once able to achieve
flight. 4 goat-like ears also appear on it's back with gold hoops pierced into the lower parts. Tears on ears
suggest it once had more. Cloth 'shoes' seem to be attached permanently to feet. Bandages on head are not to be
removed or touched in any way.

Enclosed Documents: Copy of Document SCP-360,361 and 362./Excerpt 978

Well, I figured SCP-001 and/or SCP-000 would be the 'origin' pieces for the SCP list. So, sort of like the first holder item, you can't define them.

I'll happily work on the others, though.

Item#. SCP-360,361 and 362 Special Containment Procedures: SCP-360,361 and 362 must be kept in a large
enough cell to accommodate their size as well as SCP-363 (See enclosed Document SCP-363). When fed, personnel must manually hand SCP-360,361 and 362 food on plates. When observed, they are seen feeding SCP-363, keeping only a small portion for themselves. Upon entering Cell 82 SCP 360, 361 and 362 may become
amorous, attempting to make physical contact with personnel. *PERSONNEL ARE ADVISED NEVER TO
ATTEMPT TO INDULGE IN PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH SCP 360, 361 AND/OR 362.* A tested and
accepted response is to smile and bow one's head. Personnel who harbor fear or negative emotions should not
enter Cell 82.

Description: Discovered in Royal Prussia, February 1454 during the Thirteen Years' War in the city of
Gdansk. It has never been seen without SCP-363. Subjects appear human-like in appearance with white
glass-like eyes. Marble helmets and muzzles must not be removed at any time. At no time should SCP-360,361
and/or 362 be removed from SCP-363.

Excerpt from Dr. Celia Merix's report after an attempt to separate SCP-360,361 and 362 from SCP-363: "Well, we wanted to see if 360,361 and 362 were dependant on 363. We put the 'girls' in a separate cell, completely identical to Cell 82. When the girls woke up and found 363 gone they started to make high-pitched whining noises and scratch around the cell on their hands and feet. Their features grew sickly and sticky red threads started to seep from their muzzles. We studied their behavior for a few more seconds before determining it was too dangerous to keep them apart for any longer. "

I'm working on it - going through the SCPs we have so far and figuring a starting point for them all.

I may have to create a couple more Keter-level objects, though (e.g. http://editthis.info/scp_wiki/SCP-176)
>> Security Clearance Levels for Site 19 Lofwyr
SITE 19 STANDARD CLEARANCE LEVELS
LEVEL 0: Standard operating personnel. Personnel at this level are not permitted ANY contact with an SCP object; breach of this protocol will result in termination of the personnel involved.
LEVEL 1: Standard security clearance level for staff involved in the maintenance of a SCP object. Level 1 clearance is usually appended with the SCP the personnel have clearance for (e.g. 1/173)
LEVEL 2: Clearance level for staff involved in overseeing a SCP object. Appended with the SCP the personnel have clearance for, separated by a dash for those with clearance for multiple SCP objects (e.g. 2/173-847)
LEVEL 3: All general security staff for Site 19 or any other site housing a SCP object are required to have this level of clearance.
LEVEL 4: Command-level personnel.

NOTE: This security clearance structure is independent of any other military security clearance structure.
>> Lofwyr
NON-STANDARD SECURITY LEVELS
E: Temporarily affixed to the start of a security clearance (e.g. E1), this is used when a new SCP object has been discovered but is still in an unsecured or uncontrolled state. E-clearance personnel are tasked with bringing the SCP into effect and maintaining it. Once the SCP are in place and the object is secure, the E is removed and the personnel are given the appropriate number on the end of their clearance.

K: Denotes personnel involved with a Keter-level SCP. K clearance is also appended by the object the personnel are meant to work with (e.g. K/176). KETER LEVEL PERSONNEL ARE NOT PERMITTED DIRECT CONTACT WITH NON-KETER LEVEL PERSONNEL, REGARDLESS OF SECURITY CLEARANCE. KETER LEVEL PERSONNEL ARE NOT PERMITTED CONTACT WITH OTHER KETER LEVEL PERSONNEL ASSIGNED TO A DIFFERENT OBJECT.

Item#: SCP-002

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-002 is to remain exposed to a power supply at all times, to keep it in what appears to be a recharging mode. In case of power outage, then the emergency barrier between it and SCP-001 is to be opened, and the immediate area evacuated until power is restored. At that point, alternating bursts of X-ray and blue light will strobe the area until SCP-002 is re-affixed to a power supply and returns to recharging mode.

At no time must any individual attendant be left alone outside or inside SCP-002. If need be, attendants are encouraged to hold hands at all times to affirm there is another person present, and ignore any thoughts that would make them think they are in the room alone with SCP-002.

Description: SCP-002 was located with SCP-001 and SCP-003 and are considered to all be components of a larger device. See SCP-001 entry for location and circumstances of discovery. In appearance, SCP-002 seems to be a tumorous fleshy growth roughly with volume of 2000 cubic feet. An iron valve hatch on one side leads into its interior, which appears to be a standard low-rent apartment, complete with window looking out into the room, despite no such opening visible from the exterior. The furniture of said room, on close inspection, is made of sculpted bone, woven hair or other biological substances that all share the same DNA sequence.

Additional: As to date, SCP-002 has been deemed responsible for the deaths of 7 attendants. It has also in its time at the facility further furnished itself with 2 lamps, a throw rug, a television, a radio, a beanbag chair, 3 books in an unknown language, 4 children's toys, and what appears to be half a potted plant. Each time SCP-002 kills, new furniture appears. Testing on releasing animals into SCP-002's room has revealed nothing. Whatever process SCP-002 uses to convert live subjects into furnishings, it doesn't target unintelligent life.

O5-x: Overseer-level clearance is given only to the directors of the SCP Project. The x indicates their number, ranging from 1 to 12 (e.g. O5-7). O5 personnel are permitted to access any and all data related to the SCP objects. However, due to the sensitive nature of their position, O5 personnel are not permitted to have any direct contact with a SCP object, nor may they enter any site housing a SCP object under any circumstances.

Item#: SCP-256
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-256 is contained within a 10 foot cubical chamber, with two foot thick walls a mixture of brick and rubberized layers, with two coductive rods sticking out 7" from the walls to either side of the entrance. Entrance is restricted by a soundproof airlock. Chamber is to be constantly under surveillance by EMR device and video camera. Entry and surveillance is restricted to authorized personel only who have undergone surgical adaptation to resist the effects of SCP-256. To see a list of authorized personel, see document SCP-256b. Personel not on this list may enter if they are security clearance Level 3 or above, but must wear sound-canceling earphones. All personel must be stripped of all electronics, ferrous metals and conductive material. They are also required to wear a specially designed insulated and redirective bodyuit (HAZMAT-ELEC) which must be tested before wearing, before entrance, and after exit with a significant charge. A taser is supplied and is rated high enough for testing use. The only recording devices that may be present are paper and pencil. SCP standard office paper is suitable, but pencils must be without the metal retaining ring at the top.
>> SCP-1337fag !MN8h1FhPuc
Description: Moved to Site 76 on 3-2-07. Item# SCP-256 is similar to a typewriter in most respects, except that the keys are fixed in position, rather than connected to levers, and instead of a rollbar and most of the machinery that should be present, two concave copper discs stand on either end, facing inward. While invisible to the naked eye, EM readings show that a significant electrical charge passes between the several inches between the copper discs without any conductive medium. If any of the prohibited items are brought into the containment chamber, this current increases in both amplitude and voltage, eventually arcing out and striking the object in question. This is also the reason reinforced concrete was not used in the chamber's construction, the rebar seemed to agitate the artifact. It is unknown where the extra energy comes from, or even the initial current, as there seems to be no power generation source within SCP-256. If at any time this current oscillates more than the average peak of 26% on the EMR surveillance, all unauthorized personel regardless of clearance level must immeadiately evacuate the chamber. Those who fail to comply are to be terminated at once, again, regardless of security clearance.

Item#: SCP-565

Special Containment Procedures: UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE IS ITEM SCP-565 TO BE EXPOSED TO EXTERNAL SOUND SOURCES. Item SCP-565 is to be secured inside a double-room to ensure maximum noise cancellation. The exterior room is to have all walls coated with 5 layers of sound proofing-foam of alternating density followed by a layer of toughened glass. In addition it has its own air filtration systems and a small video moniter displaying the interior of the room. The interior rooms itself is coated in 3 layers of sound-proofing foam as well as sound baffles and is supported on all sides by shock absorbing coils. The interior room's walls are coated with 1 foot thick toughened glass. Inside the room are 4 speakers that continuously emit white noise and a security camera that under no circumstances should be focused on SCP-565. All personnel that interact with SCP-565 must have specialy designed pacemakers to regulate heart rythm to within acceptable ranges, no other personnel are allowed to enter the inner room. No fewer than 3 personnel are allowed to enter the inner room and there must be at least 2 personnel stationed in the exterior chamber while personnel are present in the inner room. Under no circumstance are personnel allowed to touch SCP-565 longer than 13 seconds nor are any personnel allowed to be in the presence of SCP-565 for any longer than 31.6 minutes. Should either of these rules be breeched, the inner room is to be flooded with mercury gas and not opened for at least 17 hours, at which point the infected personnel will be extracted by containment team XCT-771 or XCT-772 and transfered to epsilon ward. Should SCP-565 turn bright yellow, all personnel to witness this are to be terminated. In the event of the destruction of the inner room for whatever reason, the exterior room is to be flooded with liquid mercury and NEVER OPENED AGAIN.

Let me officially give you congratulations on your promotion, General Trent. Its a sad sad thing that happened to your predesessor, but such is the way of things when working for SCP. Regardless, I looked into the various classified files that General Gerhart had under lock and key with your access codes, and found out some really suprising things about Item# SCP-256.

First off, the list of authorized personel are not surgically adapted in any way. In fact, many of them have never undergone anything more serious than the mandated physical. And civilians, tsk tsk. I can't even begin to understand why General Gerhart let them even know of the base. Containment agents have been dispatched to see how far their psychosis has progressed and how much they know, but from what I've found in the late General's personal files, he had them convinced this was some kind of hospital.

Second, as you may have guessed from the notes on the civilians and the highly classified paper manuscripts, the "authorized personel" seemed to believe quite vehemently that SCP-256 was once a young adult human named Elizabeth Waters, and has been somehow trapped in the artifact. Even the General was convinced, and the very fact that the BaseCommand was compromised by the item's delusions makes me worry about the entire facility. All personel on the "authorized" list have been placed under covert surveillance. It is unknown how far the item's control over them goes.

Description: Discovered in a remote cavern along the coast of southern Peru in 1955, estimated to be several thousand years old from bones disocvered around it. Transfered to site 19 in 1998. SCP-565 is only visible when exposed to sound. SCP-565, when visible, is a pale blue-gray crystaline spheroid of approximately 8.539734 inches (21.690924 cm) in diameter with 13 spiny projections, all 22.459157 inches (57.046258 cm) in length. There is a small scar on the surface of the object and it appears to leak fine silvery sand composed of unidentified particles that appears to only expirience 7% of the effects of gravity. The excess sand is to be removed by weekly and shipped to omicron ward. SCP-565 reacts negatively to sounds over 40 decibels and sounds below the range of the human ear that are not human in origin. Personnel have reported that SCP-565 appears to tremble and shiver when presented with these sounds. SCP-565 reacts with extreme hostility to sounds that are above the human hearing range, sound over 70 decibels, and irregular or excited heartbeats and is able to "disintegrate" the source of the sound and surrounding matter, causing it to collapse in a pile of sand, however this ability cannot penetrate nor effect glass. How SCP-565 does this is unknown. When spoken to SCP-565 is reported to answer by changing the hue, brightness, and saturation of it's color in what appears to appears to be an analog to speech. Scientists have only managed to identify how SCP-565 refers to itself and how it refers to others thus far.
>> SCP-1337fag !MN8h1FhPuc
Third, there is information on the artifact that has not been made available in the report. Firstly, the variance on the EMR is remarkably similar to an oscilliscope's pickup of human voice. Apparently when SCP-256 starts its variance, it somehow starts producing audio with it. Second, the compromised personel write down in the manuscripts that the delusions claim to be in pain when metal is brought near it. After an audio recorder was brought into the room, the afflicted agents noted that the delusions ceased for several days, and when they resumed, they indicated that it nearly "killed" the artifact.

Needless to say, I cannot confirm or deny these rumors due to the security restraints on SCP-256, but I do not place crediability in them. Simply put, General, this was a coverup. Recommend immeadiate disciplinary procedures for all personel involved. In regards to SCP-256, I recommend research into power production. As long as the research personel observe the listed sound-blanking procedures, any possible audiotory contamination can be contained. There was no listed drop in power when the "little girl" "almost died", and more conductive material may serve to permanently supress the risk of the artifact. However, as per your new policy with advanced timetable on the destruction of destroyable SCP items, I have scheduled the item for a tentative destruction on 1-15-08.

Your viligant officier;
Edward Berstrom.

Item #: SCP-432

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-432 is to remain in a locked container at all times. Personnel are permitted to enter the container one at a time during the following intervals - 0732-0813, 1012-1017, 1237-1345, 1815-1816,2328-2359. At no other time are any personell permitted entrance ; failure to comply will result in immediate termination if the violation does not result in either madness or death.

All personnel entering the container must maintain the following protocol: A helmet with a blacked out visor must be worn; this helmet will be official issue. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination if the violation does not result in either madness or death.

All instruments and clothing that enter the container must be destroyed upon completion of work ; failure to comply will result in immediate termination and severe criminal charges if any neglegence is found.

The container must be secured and externally monitored for any abnormalities by a second, trained staff member with SCL of at least level 2.

If any abnormalities are detected, the observing staff member must notifiy the commanding officer and not unlock the container under any circumstance. Class 4 containment protocol should be followed at all times.

Data harvesting must only occur during the interval of 1237-1345. All other intervals are too short to obtain any meaningful information and should only be used to monitor for noticable changes in the environment or the object. Any data gathered during any other interval should be immediately discarded as it has proven to be innacurate.

The container must be kept under constant video and audio survellience to confirm stasis in the environment and to prevent unauthorized access.
>> Anonymous
Description: Moved to site Alpha 45B. SCP-432 is of indeterminate origin and size. It is unclear whether or not the object is hostile. All attempts to videotape, photograph or otherwise analyze the object have returned conflicting data. Current reports show that its texture appears to be a mixture of wood, flesh and concrete, is roughly circular, malleable and hot to the touch.

The object appears to desire the gaze of any and all creatures that enter the container. Outside of the prescribed intervals, it is able to coerce any living being to look at it through some method of subliminal communication. No animal or human that has entered the container outside of these intervals has survived. During the intervals, no suggestion appears to be present, but the visor appears to be necessary to limit any temptation or accident. Any traces of the object left on any instrument have the same deleterious effect as the object itself, so any instrument or piece of clothing used in analysis must be destroyed upon exit. A medical examination to determine sanity is manditory upon exiting the container.

Effects: Any personnel who look at SCP-432 or its residue develop the following series of symptoms:

1-3 seconds of exposure, shouts of ecstasy and prophecy 4-7 seconds, a declaration about the nature of the godhead 8-10 seconds, a scream of pain 10-15 seconds, a flow of blood from the ears and eyes 16-24 seconds, stroke followed by death

No personnel recovered from the container after this brief exposure have been found sane during the required medical examination. All have requested to look at the object again. Under no circumstance should they be admitted entrance to the container.

Examination of the brains of the deceased have found massive damage to the occipital and temporal lobes.

SC4 LEVEL CLEARANCE ONLY

All declarations made regarding the future have proved correct and have proven to be an invaluable resource in our current campaigns; if an expendable unit will enter the container, damage his visor beforehand.

how many items do we have thus far? are all of the items going to be somehow related in the end, cuz i noticed one says "under no circumstance is it to be exposed to sound" while another one says" constantly emits a high pitched whistling sound", and another says "under no circumstance is it to be in contact with a temperature of under 35 degrees C" while another says "constantly emits an aura of freezing cold, and so on and so forth. maybe the conflicting items would react to eachother if brought together, or would the series then start becoming more like the holders?

Item#: SCP-2754

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-2754's celis composed only of non-metallic, non-organic polymer materials. SCP-2754 should be immersed in strong acid at all times (whenever possible, acid produced by SCP-2014 is perferable, but sulfuric acid also suffices), and illuminated with green light at least 16 hours a day, though to err on safety, 24 hour illumination is fine. Attendants are also all required to wear sanctioned green hazmat suits located outside of SCP-2754's cell.

Under no circumstances should any attendant address or interact with SCP-2754, no matter how desperate or shrill it becomes. To avoid this issue, regular inspection and testing should occur during periods of inactivity, and attendants are encouraged to cease all activity once SCP-2754 becomes active.

Description: Origins occured on-site during experimentation on SCP-003 using the analytical abilities of SCP-1194. It is suspected SCP-2754's core is a composite of the three scientists who executed said experiment.

SCP-2754, in its 'natural' form, is a mass of what appears to be organs of unknown biology or function, which constantly go through a process of growth and atrophy.

When submerged in acid, SCP-2754 is reduced to its core. A tumorous mass about 1' in diameter. Attendants claim that human-like features pass over it's surface. These are considered hallucinations and should not be encouraged or entertained.

(clearance 4)

Additional: SCP-2754 has shown to attempt interaction with SCP-002 and SCP-003 at any chance, persumably to interface between the two and upload information contained in SCP-003 into the production womb of SCP-002. Under no circumstances should SCP-2754 reach SCP-002. This is a primary priority of facility 1. Repeat, no contact between SCP-002 and SCP-2754 should EVER occur.

Additional: It has been found that SCP-2754 cannot detect the color green, nor can it interact with any green object. Further study of other colors are required.

To prevent 'holderfication', I say we individualize these more, like not have them all reference eachother or be from the same facility /organization. Even drop the 'SCP' designations all together and make up unique object "titles" and cataloging systems

>>449196
>>449240
Agreed. What made the first few of these cool was the vagueness. The more that gets established about the "SCP Universe", the gayer this whole thing gets. Remember what we learned from the fuckin Holders fgts.
>> Anonymous
the only thing the SCP series should have in common be the SCP number, the security references, and the whole vauge, disconnected style
>> triton
>>449283
YES. the cold clinical bare facts type thing written like a technical doccument is a must. the cross referencing of objects should be limited as much as possible and the only things that should state constant is the format, scp numbers, security data (which should be expanded slightly, i may work on that)possibly some locations housing lower level objects (eg the elusive "site 19")

also we need to make the containment info a tad more realistic, 10 meter thick concrete walls in a sphere with a CHAIN LINK FENCE inside it is kinda retarded. i suggest looking up actual hazmat containment stuff, yes led and concrete and reinforced glass are fine but keep it at least psuedo realistic

So, more along the lines of simple, clinical descriptions and less of the storytelling aspects, right?
>> Anonymous
>>449291
As the writer of the Rimmer from Red Dwarf one, I'd like to apologize. 314 mentions a 497 that could be used relatively safely to get information on other SCP's. I like that 314 references another SCP and thought a harmless one would be kind of funny. Somewhere between my head and the screen it turned kind of gay. Worth mentioning on /x/ for a few lulz, but definitely not worth archiving.
>> Anonymous
>>449240
Anon has touched on an interesting idea.I'd like to see secret protocol documents still in a similar format, but maybe from Russian labs or secret independent island facilities and not just the apparently fucking hueg Site 19.
>> triton
>>449301
storytelling aspects to this could involve the history and background of the object in the technical doccument and addendum doccuments (witness reports psych reports etc) and also the whole very clever terminal log idea which i love but beyond that try to keep it sounding like a professional clinical sounding data file
>> triton
>>449312
yea, site 19 could hold alot of the "lower level" "safe" items different facilities for the larger more dangerous ones and adding other/competing organizations than the SCP would be cool esp if we add a hint of espionage/info leaks etc much like black mesa/aperture science

Item#: SCP-200

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-200 is to be kept in its case at all times unless being studied. If removed from the case, personnel must be wearing sound-proofed ear protection. All openings in SCP-200 must remain sealed unless in use. SCP-200 can only be used for one minute at a time before it must be re-sealed for a minimum of one hour.

Description: SCP-200 resembles a typical brass-coloured French horn, except that it is composed of a glass-like material that is resistant to shattering. SCP-200 is capable of generating sound at a wide range of resonant frequencies; testing has shown that the soundwaves from SCP-200 are capable of matching the resonant frequencies (and consequently damaging) any physical structure that the sound comes into contact with. SCP-200 is capable of producing the resonant frequency effect with any air movement, including ambient air currents; the stronger the air movements, the more pronounced the effect.

indeed. The containment procedures should try to make sense and show that there is a good reason why those steps are needed. 656 is a good example of stuff thats a bit out there but makes sense to have. The sound-proofing foam keeps external noise out and the glass prevents its disintigration attack from working. Though keep in mind to say only what is needed and nothing more.

Item#: SCP-223

Special Containment Procedures: Object must be contained within an entirely nonmetallic facility no less than 1 Km from any civilian-accessable area. Personnel are required to surrender all metallic objects or electronic devices of any sort before entry is allowed. Personnel with implants (pacemakers, etc.) or eyeglasses are not to be admitted, and must undergo no less than four consecutive checks for anything metallic on thier person before being admitted entry to facility. Object it to be contained in a room seperated from the rest of the facility. No air traffic is allowed within a radius of 3 Km. Violators of the air traffic policy are to be terminated. Light is to be provided either via combustion or chemical reaction- electrically powered lighting does not function within a radius of 1.07 Km of object.

Description: Unremakable iron claw hammer, apparently well used. Head and handle are fashioned from the same piece of iron. Standard and unremarkable 1992 penny is attatched to the side of the head. Object placed in the care of Site 72 on March 14, 2005. Origins are unknown. Object exhibits extraordinarily strong magnetic field, affecting even nonmagnetic metals. Nonmetallic objects appear to be unaffected. Effect increases at an exponential rate as proximity to object decreases. All attempts to seperate penny from object SCP-223 have been unsuccessful (approximately 34,000 pounds of force were applied- penny was moved from it's original position by 1.47 millimeters). Maximum effective range of object is unknown but has been observed as far as 1.16 Km away.

Item #: SCP_447
Object Class: Trinity (scientific)
Threat Posed: Moderate
Usefulness: Moderate (theorized extreme, see ref. 451-33N)
Control Difficulty: Moderate-Intricate

Special Containment Procedures: SCP_447 must be sealed in a magnetically oscillating tungsten container unless actively being worked upon by technicians. The cell housing SCP_447 must be kept clear of all inorganic objects with a mass of more than 3.72 kg and all objects that receive radio signals between 25.3 and 257 MHz. Additionally any storage cell is to be constructed of 3 meters of topsoil contained between 0.5 meters of red clay. In the event of a containment breach all technicians currently inside the cell should remain as still as possible and wait for 447 to cease any perceivable movement, at which point they are to exit the cell in an orderly fashion and seal the exit in accordance with hazard containment protocol 13N.4.

>>449426
Description: Recovered from the ruins of site 117-3L, SCP_447 (ref. 203-11R) appears to be a rapidly moving mass of prismatic liquid that tends to assume a roughly spherical shape regardless of external pressures. When contacted with any inorganic matter of sufficient mass 447 absorbs the matter and converts it into a combination of high energy (Gamma) radiation and kinetic energy in a roughly 16000:1 ratio. The radiation seems to be a byproduct of the matter conversion, while the kinetic energy is manifested as a rapid movement in what appears to be an arbitrary direction, the only constant during tests being that it absorbs any additional inorganic material in its path, regardless of mas. Its inability to convert organic matter is, as yet, unexplained.

Research associate notes:Item can be used to destroy some previously thought indestructible inorganic artifacts, though small scale tests should be used to first ascertain reaction parameters. Extreme caution should be used before attempting destruction of artifacts with SCP_447, and authorization from base commanders of all applicable stations must be attained before any such attempt.

I have a feeling that with the original the bit about it creating blood and feces was an important touch.

Like maybe in addition to the main threat of the object, throwing in some behaviour that isn't really dangerous, but is just disturbing and wrong. Perhaps that could give add something interesting.

I'm no writer, so I'm not even going to attempt to make one of these. I just think it would be hilarious to have one of the SCP items be that Phantom Zone mirror that Zod, Ursa, and Non were trapped in prior to the 1978 Superman movie. Item#: SCP-028

Special Containment Procedure:
The containment cell for SCP-028 is an airtight environment, kept in a near vacuum state. Its surrounding observation chambers and facilities wing are to remain in a state of overpressure. The cell’s self contained ventilation system monitors this, as well as being equipped to flood the chamber with normal atmospheric gas. Said gas is to be cycled through said chambers internal furnace and chemical filtration chamber before being bottled and disposed of conventionally, every hour on the hour. SCP-028 is to remain at all times immobile. Personnel assigned to SCP-028 are all to have overt and preferably untreated Ichthyosis.

Any personnel entering the cell are to wear fully sealed HAZMAT suits rated for biological contamination, if observations demand that the cell be pressurized. Preferably, all observations and experiments are to be conducted only while wearing a fully sealed hard pressure suit in a depressurized environment.
>> Anonymous
>>449452
Description:
SCP-028 is a roughly 10cm long, 5cm wide ovoid gray object, weighing in the realm of 2.25kg. It is constantly covered in an exceptionally fine white powder, or spores, that confound more precise measurements. The surface of the object is pitted with circular depressions averaging roughly a centimeter across. SCP-028 reacts to pressure much like a kitchen sponge, taking indentations easily and displaying a remarkable modulus of elasticity. Spores are generated constantly, regardless of access to raw materials, and must be cleansed on the hour through the above procedure.

Spores react violently with animal and plant matter, causing rapid and deep keratinization of any exposed tissue. The effect of a single particle has been seen to completely desiccate twenty pounds of tissue, and is potentially lethal. Affected tissue in animal studies has lead to rapid death.

Weaponization of SCP-028 discarded under cause: UNCONTROLLABLE.

SC4 LEVEL CLEARANCE ONLY
Any personnel exposed to SCP-028’s keratinizing effects are to be terminated immediately and incinerated by security personnel following NBC guidelines. Contaminated human tissue rapidly converts into more airborne spores. Workers already overproducing keratin are more likely to react extremely to exposure, reducing the probability of exiting the facility once contaminated.

Item#: SCP-076A

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-076A is not to be removed from the room it is held in without level-4 clearance. When personnel must enter the room of SCP-076A, only one person may enter unless an emergency occurs in which SCP-076B must be destroyed. Under normal circumstances, SCP-076B may be removed from SCP-076A. However, the former is to be returned to the latter before personnel leaves the room. In the event that SCP-076B becomes hostile, please observe Protocol 076-2BA.

Description: Found in the Kanto region of Japan, moved to Site 19 September 29, 1998. Item SPC-076A is a hinged spherical container about four inches in diameter, made of an unknown polymer. A grey button on the seam opposite the hinge opens SCP-076B. Item displays many anomalous physical properties, the causes and implications of which are not yet fully understood. The area inside SCP-076A seems to be much larger than the item's volume; the interior area is at least a cubic meter but has not yet been fully measured. SCP-076A only seems able to store organic matter, and all attempts to fill it with water to guage its capacity have failed.

Additional notes: See SCP-076B

Item#: SCP-076B

Special Containment Procedures: Item must be kept in SCP-076A when neither are being studied. SCP-076B must never be in the presence of more than one person; past experiences involving multiple people have lead to hostility from SCP-076B. Protocol 076-2BA is permitted should SCP-076B become hostile.

Description: Found in the Kanto region of Japan, moved to Site 19 September 29, 1998 along with Item SPC-076A. SCP-076B is a fully animate inorganic lifeform resembling a crudely sculpted statue, weighing 662 lbs. Body of creature resembles a boulder or geode of unknown composition. Lab tests performed on mineral samples from the creature show that its skin is electrically nonconductive and impervious to fire, although it hates water. SCP-076B exhibits at least ape-level intelligence, and it even seems capable of crude speech, but its vocabulary seems very limited. It can only say "golem," although it understands (and rarely obeys) most commands spoken to it.

Additional notes: See SCP-076A

Item#: SCP-173

Special Containment Procedures: Item SPC-173 is to be kept in a locked container at all times. When personnel must enter SCP-173's container, no fewer than 3 may enter at any time and the door is to be relocked behind them. At all times, two persons must maintain direct eye contact with SCP-173 until all personnel have vacated and relocked the container.

Description: Moved to Site19 1993. Origin is as of yet unknown. It is constructed from concrete and rebar with traces of Krylon brand spray paint. SCP-173 is animate, extremely hostile. The object cannot move while within a direct line of sight. Line of sight must not be broken at any time with SCP-173. Personnel assigned to enter container are instructed to alert one another before blinking. Object is reported to attack by snapping the neck at the base of the skull, or by strangulation. In the event of an attack, personnel are to observe Class 4 hazardous object containment procedures.

Personnel report sounds of scraping stone originating from within the container when no one is present inside. This is considered normal, and any change in this behaviour should be reported to the acting HMCL supervisor on duty.

The reddish brown substance on the floor is a combination of feces and blood. Origin of these materials is unknown. The enclosure must be cleaned on a bi-weekly basis.

Item#: SCP-527

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-527's containment cell is to be monitered at all times by at least 5 peronnel that have passed class B-4 psychological examinations and class C-7 fitness examinations and armed with submachine guns. All personnel in the room are to be monitered via surveiliance camera and it is recommended that additional personnel be stationed in the adjacent veiwing room should a powerful occur. All personnel assigned to moniter the artifact are required to wear a restraint harness during their 4 hour shift, with at least 12 hours of rest before taking another shift. In the event of abnormal behavior such as extreme desire to approach the artifact or flee from it, the room is to be flooded with nerve gas. Should the number of personnel within the room fall below 5, the room is to be flooded with nerve gas. Should no personnel be present or alive during the active phase of the artifact, the room is to be hermetically sealed and not accessed for at least 27 days. The personnel assigned to moniter SCP-527 are to inspect anything attempting to exit the artifact. All personnel exiting the artifact with out a valid ID code laser-etched on to the back of their neck are to be terminated on sight.

Personnel must have security clearance of at least 2 in order to interact with SCP-527. All personnel intending to interact with SCP-527 are their laser etched on to the back of their neck and wear a vest that will deliver a fatal electric shock that can only be deactivated in the preparation room outside the cell. Attempting to prematurely remove the vest will result in termination. All personnel interacting with the artifact have a one hour time limit, failure to compley will result in termination.

Description: SCP-527 appears to be a glass door with an attatched metal frame with a solid back when viewed firsthand. When viewed through a medium such as glass or through a video or picute, the artifact appears to be a solid block of metal. The artifact is known to have moderate to strong powers of suggestions and has been known to either incite curiosity or fear to those in its pressence longer than one hour, and can cause severe mental trauma to those exposed to it for longer than 6.11 hours. The door is able to be opened and even entered as it connects to extra-dimensional space. The otherside of the door connects to what appears to be a large hotel of at least 50 floors, however the 13th or 4th flood cannot be accessed by any means. Exiting the hotel is not possible by any means. The hotel is inhabited by at least 60 people originating from different time periods and locales. All of the inhabitants know the nature of the hotel and each and every one of them seem content to remain there, and all efforts to remove them have met with bemusement. Every 13 days door enters what has been dubbed its active state for 13 hours. During these 13 hours personnel outside the door report hearing screams and can be visibly noticed by the sudden splattering of blood on the inside of the door. All personnel who are within the door during this period are to be assumed lost.

Item#: SCP-216

Special Containment Procedure: SCP-216 is to be kept in its original container, at least seven miles from the surface or six miles from any location with human activity. The room where SCP-216 is kept must be earthquake, shock and temperature resistant, and be constantly lit.

Description: Discovered in an abandoned chemical research facility, location classified. SCP-216 is a bright orange substance, and extremely unstable. Any slight movement of the substance, change in light or temperature increase/drop will result in SCP-216 overloading, which it will first explode, then release toxic fumes, become more acidic than it previously was, and gain an attraction human beings, due to its attraction to water.
Research as to the chemical makeup of SCP-216 has been futile, due in large part to its unstability and highly complex molecular structure.

If there's already a SCP-988 just change it to whatever number. Edit it to fit if you see any
flaws. Also, look up some stuff on the origin. I did some history stuff.
Item#: SCP-988

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-988 is to be stored in a soundproof, unlit chamber
20 meters wide and 50 meters tall. Inner walls are to be made of limestone, 4 yards thick, outer walls preferably a strong alloy. Temperature in the chamber must be below 216.333 K at all times. If temperature reaches above 238.21 K commence operation 83F. Only single agents allowed in chamber at any time, must wear heat suppressing suit. Food is to be transported in a heat suppressing container and opened remotely from observation center after agent has placed the container and out of chamber.

Description: 988 is a winged creature with two claw-like arms. Item's head emits bio luminescence similar to ceratias holboelli. Has no visible facial features until item senses
heat. When item senses heat, 988's head opens and emits a shriek that's frequency shreds
through most materials. Sedimentary rock has proven most resistant. Attempts to study the
sound after being prerecorded has resulted in the death of 6 scientists. Item's skin is opaque and pale. 988 feeds through a separate hole located on its chest. No excrement has been expelled by SCP-988.

Origin: Cave in North-East Ridge of Mt. Everest, discovered by George Mallory and Andrew Irvine on June 8th of 1924. Remains disposed of. Cameras destroyed. Bodies replaced by lookalikes.

Additional: Scientists must study the sound's frequency and wavelength. Clip is to not be
actually played under any circumstances.

Item#: SCP-70
Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-70 should be kept at least 20 metres underground in a hermetically sealed lead chamber. There should be no possibility of the server within gaining connection to another server through radio waves or hardline.

In the event the containment chamber is breached the explosive charges lining the rock walls of the chamber should be detonated ensuring full destruction. Once a week Level-2 personnel should check the wire linking the charges to the detonator ensuring that a full detonation is possible. At all times should the charges be hardwired to the detonators preventing jamming from SCP-70 preventing radio signals. All Level-4 personnel on base will have the codes to detonate the charges.

Description: Item SCP-70 is a computer mainframe recovered from an US Air Force R+D base which appears to have been intentionally destroyed from within. When US Army personnel reached the base very little remained of the labs, among the few surviving items was SCP-70. SCP-70 appears to be a server mainframe housing what is believed to be a semi- or fully sentient machine AI.SCP-70 was believed to have been created by the USAF in an attempt to unify command structure in the event of a nuclear conflict allowing communication through both satellite and hardlines underground in case of an high altitude EMP knocking out satellite communication.

Addendum: Item SCP-70 is believed to be one of the last projects undertaken on this base and was listed under the codename "Skynet". The destruction of the R+D base has been pinpointed to 30 minutes after SCP-70 was brought online.

All embassy staff are now quarantined and undergoing Personality Debrief to ensure silence is maintained.

Please be on the lookout for any suspicious behaviour in your staff.

Through our infiltration of US Military command channels it has come to our attention that there is increased activity around the designated area "Site 19". We are as yet unable to determine what lies within Site 19 but from the language and behaviour of the personnel involved we have come to the conclusion that it is a possible R+D base for proscribed warfare and as such is now a national security issue.

We recommend more action is taken to infiltrate staff into Site 19. We have managed to get several level 2 designated personnel into the base but within a few weeks all communication was severed and what little we gained was useless and seemed both superstitious and impossible.

Further we also recommend the construction of our own R+D base in the siberian wastes in the attempt to counter what we believe may be proscribed research.

Yuri Aleksandrov,

Chairman of FSB.

Item#: SCP-420

Special Containment Procedures: Item SPC-420 is stored at Site12 at all times. It must remain in operation until the point it is rendered inert or is destroyed. Site12 is a multi-floor concrete facility fitted with opening ceiling sections in order to place SCP-420. A minimum threat level of 1 is to be adhered to at all times. Site12 has a permanent staff of over 100 scientists and 14 Marine teams varying in their missions from Diplomacy to Recovery & Evac.

Description: SCP-420 is a set of twin vertical standing rings of unknown composition. Inner ring is non-stationary an consists of 39 symbols identified by [CLASSIFIED] as constellations. Outer ring is stationary. Discovered in 1928, SCP-420 was relocated to Site12 in 1997.

Personnel using SCP-420 are to be medically examined after use, and any foreign artifacts are to be quarantined and eliminated. Any personnel who have been mentally altered after using SCP-420 are to be restrained and following psychological investigation shall be terminated if deemed a threat.

The material SCP-420 is made of is not found on Earth. It is a quartzite metal of undetermined origin, it is both very strong and very conductive.

The shock-absorbers placed around SCP-420 are not to be removed except during replacement. Any activity from SCP-420 would result in damage to Site12, and the possible loss of personnel.

SCP-420 so far has helped produced much which Earth has found useful, but it it's first three recorded operations produced only one benefit, and a large number of drawbacks, resulting in at least 1 friendly death and a number of casualties.

Item# SCP-704

Item SCP-704 must be kept in a monochrome room, using filtered lights to allow as little color saturation as possible in SCP-704's surroundings. Personnel must wear clothing devoid of any color, i.e. shades of gray. Dulling visors should be worn by personnel at all times to filter out all color from their vision. Personnel who suspect a failure of equipment safety should immediately close their eyes (no matter what dangers appear to be nearby) and attempt to leave the vicinity of SCP-704.

Moved to Site 19 in 1998. Tests on SCP-704 have revealed that it is floral in nature, but possessing internal structures not found in any other living being to date. Under ideal containment, the item appears as an ordinary, if pure white and somewhat overgrown, flower with strangely alien petals. Initially found under ideal circumstances (a dark, dully-painted room), upon first exposure to a colored background, SCP-704 immediately began emanating strange sounds and quickly assuming bright, constantly-changing colors (see note 1). Additional tests were required before Special Containment Procedures could be utilized effectively, resulting in the loss of 9 SCP personnel in the meantime.

Exposure to SCP-704's effects has caused extreme psychosis at least, and massive cerebral hemorrhaging and death at most.

Note 1: while most personnel exposed to SCP-704's effects were incapacitated or killed too quickly to be questioned, small amounts of data have described the strange sounds as sounding at first like psychedelic music that quickly progresses into a discordant cacophony and then "demonic" roars. The visual effects seem to include strange delusions, or sights never previously seen by the human eye or mind: indescribable colors and visions; aberrant, frightening, or "hellish" creatures; etc.

Item#: SCP-972

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-972 is to be sealed in its chamber at all times. Any personnel entering the chamber for routine maintenance should do so in groups of no less then three persons, and must be accompanied by a security team to prevent personnel from entering Item SCP-972. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCE IS ANYONE ALLOWED TO ENTER SCP-972, SCP-972 is to be strictly monitored at all times via CCTV. Any change in state of SCP-972 (as per Description, below) is to be reported to personnel with Level 4 security clearance IMMEDIATELY. Personnel who monitor SCP-972 are to abstain from any form of electronic communication, especially computers, while on watch.

Description: SCP-972 is a perfect metallic sphere of presumably extraterrestrial origin. It is a polished metal sphere, presumably hollow, with no apparent openings of any kinds. The only known markings are three nondescript grooves of no apparent meaning, which will shift positions periodically.

(SCP-972 CONT'D)

NOTES: SCP-972 was discovered (or rather, rediscovered) 21JAN1988 in the South Pacific Ocean, in an aircraft of apparent [CLASSIFIED] origin, built in the year [CLASSIFIED]. The coral covering said aircraft puts its age at over 300 years old. The most plausible theory for this contradiction is that the spacecraft arrived here by means of [CLASSIFIED]. The routine USN investigation into the destruction of Habitat 7 near the discovery site [see report DSDH7-1981.7439F] led to its revealing. Initial reports from the survivors of the Habitat's destruction conflicted with the state of not only the habitat itself, but of SCP-972 and its immediate location as well [see Report DSDH7-1987.7493F-Interviews: Johnson, Adams, and Halpern). According to this fragmented yet reliable testimony, SCP-972 is a hollow object and is accessible. Although none of the three witnesses seems to remember exactly how to access the SCP-972, tests are underway.

Item#: SCP-827

Special Containment Procedure: Item SCP-827 is to reside in a cell meeting, or exceeding, SCP-ANSC0018 standards for radiological contamination. The containment cell must have an uparmored airlock, to ensure that SCP-827 does not slip past any working party that enters. The cell should be no closer than one hundred meters to any frequently traveled throughway. Conventional video surveillance of SCP-827s cell will be ineffective, however broad spectrum and infrared monitoring will show the subject.

SCP-827 is to be considered hostile, and interaction is heavily discouraged. Any personnel who are to interact with SCP-827 are required to wear standard HAZMAT radiological protection with SCBA. They are to be equipped with Geiger counters and radiation badges, and are to be instructed in a redundant matter as to dangerous radiation doses before entry. Ambient radiation varies; the maximum stay should not exceed five minutes, unless personnel are considered disposable or are scheduled for eventual termination, in accordance with SCP-21734 bylaws.
>> Anonymous
Description: Item SCP-827 is a type 884E entity captured via magnetic harness in the Foxtrot region of the Nevada Test site. It is thought to be a direct result of the Operation Plumbbob, possibly the Hood shot.

It has been known of since 1970, but was not transferred to Site 19 until February 17 of 2006, due primarily to technological restraints.

SCP-827 has exhibited a strong desire to wander, and antidotal evidence has shown that it may be responsible for contamination and killings in various parts of the Nevada Test Site. It is to be contained at all costs, until a permanent method of disposal is discovered. It is to be considered a flight risk, and it is to be considered aggressive. It has, on numerous occasions, emitted far higher levels of radiation and X Rays than what it continually displaces. This is believed to be either a defense mechanism or a form of attack. It is near invisible to the naked eye, and shows signs of sentience and intelligence.

If SCP-827 escapes, it is strongly recommended that it is left unmolested until it can be magnetically apprehended, as its radiation spikes may damage important structures, personnel, or containment facilities.

Ok I'll explain, but here be spoilers:

SPOILER!

The sphere can only be accessed if you imagine that it's open. When you enter it, you gain the power of controlling the world around you with your thoughts. Think of Godzilla and he'll appear. And the spacecraft was built in the year 2143, and arrived here via black hole 300 years ago. maybe should have worded it a bit better, it does seem confusing to someone not familiar with the novel.

END SPOILERS!
>> Anonymous
>>449931
Okay. Now, why must the maintenace people be in teams of three people or more? Also, why the monitoring people have to abstain from using electronic communication? It'll be better, if there is a reason behind every requirement. Like in the original one, three people together in the chamber result in less chance of them blinking at the same time.
>> Anonymous
>>449937
3 or more people as a security precaution to prevent each other from going in; security team to keep them from going in as a whole.

And in the novel, the characters thought they were talking to an alien inside the sphere through their computer monitors. Maybe the base personnel know of this, and think it really IS an alien inside, while it's not really the case.

Item #SCP-146

Special Containment Procedures: Item 146 is currently being displayed in the reception area of Facility 12. Personnel assigned to front office duty are advised to keep watch on SCP-146 when visitors enter, especially if the visitors are unscheduled. No attempts should be made to stop visitors from interacting with SCP-146, though superiors with at least level 3 clearance are to be notified.

Description: Item 146 is a blade approximately 95cm long. The item is embedded in a rough block of granite such that only 3.5cm of the blade is visible below the handguard. Blade surface appears untanished and polished, despite estimates of the item's age. Attempts to remove Item 146 from the embedding material have so far proven impossible.

A cease on testing of SCP-146 and its movement from site EL023 were ordered following Executive Order Z-901.

Item#: SCP-819

Special Containment Procedures: For safety reasons, Item SCP-819 should be stored in any completely airtight and oxygen-evacuated area. At no time must oxygen make contact with the skin of Item SCP-819, so an airlock is also required. Personnel entering the Item's holding area should first be wearing standard-issue breathing apparatus. Should the oxygen tanks of any personnel be breached while inside the chamber of Item SCP-819, the inner airlock door will be opened, but the outer door will be locked down for a minimum of 3 hours. Once the 3 hours have expired, all remaining personnel inside the airlock will be released. There is no minimum or maximum limit for personnel. There is no minimum or maximum time limit for being inside the chamber.

Description: Moved to Site 7 April 10, 2002. Found in an unspecific location in the Pyrenees mountains. SCP-819 resembles a small fleshy sac approximately the size of a handbag, with several slits along each side that scientists are fairly convinced act as gills. When SCP-819 "breathes" in oxygen, it converts it into an anomalous gas and immediately exhales the gas in a large puff. Any human or animal that inhales the gas will show no symptoms for fifteen minutes to an hour and a half, but afterwards their abdomen will swell up and burst in a matter of seconds via a mechanism that is yet undetermined. The victims usually die instantly. The strange gas exuded by SCP-819 tends to convert back to oxygen after a short period of time, making study of the chemical makeup difficult.
>> Anonymous
>>450011
Addendum: It should be noted that the victims of the gas release an entirely fresh batch of gas once they are killed by it. It is recommended to keep a safe distance from anyone who is suspected to be affected by SCP-819.

What makes this win is how different each one is from the last. The Holders series, while creepy for the first few you read, eventually becomes so formulaic that all its scary potential is gone.

Working on my own SCP now.
>> Anonymous
>>450084
These have a clear formula, although it does not bind the writers imagination very much. I suggest that there be a SCP-XXX page in the wiki, but without a link to it on the index page. Should any writer unknowingly write an otherwise good piece but in the wrong style, they could be guided to the instructional page.
>> Tips for writing SCPs Lofwyr
* Keep it clinical, detached and orderly. This is a report, so keep to the format. Computer logs are an okay deviation, but try not to do anything else. Don't forget to check your spelling.

* Try to find a picture for them too, where possible. Granted, not all of them can have pictures (SCP-176), but some would benefit from them.

* They don't all have to be at Site 19. SCP-200, for example, is somewhere in Outback Australia. Get some foreign ones going.

* Don't go overboard on the containment procedures. Hideous drains on resources without a corresponding threat is poor, so don't overdo it. Every part of the procedure MUST have a reason behind it (see SCP-017, SCP-091 and SCP-847 for good examples of this).

Item#: SCP-777

Special Containment Procedure: All personnel entering the containment cell must change into pocketless, sealed jumpsuits. All personnel except those intending to interact with the artifact are required to wear puncture-resistant gloves. Any personnel entering without the jumpsuits are to be terminated. All personnel leaving the chamber are to undergo a full body x-ray, and full body cavity search if required. Level 3 personnel are required to supervise the transfer of SCP-777 to gamma facility for testing once a week. The artifact is to be placed in a locked container and is not to be opened until arriving at the gamma facility test chamber or returning to its containment cell. The gamma facility test chamber is have the same security protocols in place.

Description: SCP-777 is a small twenty sided die and is appears to be made from a dark gray metallic matter, however all material analysis has turned up inconclusive. 19 sides of the have a green circle etched on its surface, and the remaining side has a red triangle etched on it. The die is activated by touching it with bare skin, causing its surface to turn dark blue. When rolled in this state, the die appears to exihibit the ability to manipulate probably values (see file SCP-777/LS-11a2). Should the die land with a green circle face up, what ever action the user is undertaking (provided it is sufficiently random) will succeed with the best possible outcome. In the event the red triangle is on top, the user will automatically fail, and in most cases, the most catastophic way possible which always results with at least the death of the user. Upon being rolled the die will return to its gray color and become dormant.

The cards nessecary for any combination of a royal flush being placed at the bottom of the deck. Despite this the hand turned out to be a royal flush. According to the research accumlated in the last 11 tests, it appears the artifact may be able to influence events even if they are not truly random. In trial 11, [P-317001] was unaware of the deck being rigged against him (note: reprimand [777-0021A] for failing to include that in his report), yet despite this still managed to draw a royal flush. I believe the artifact is able to alter events that the user perceives as being random rather than an event that is truly random. Further experimentation is required to further understand the power of this artifact.

It states that it will always result in a catastrophic faliure and the death of the user

since poker is pretty safe it just defaulted to killing the user in a catastophic manner, which i think an explosion qualifies for

Item #: SCP-147

Special containment procedures: Item SCP-147 is to be kept in a simulacrum of a 1950's-era living room. Its current container contains a throw rug, two armchairs, a phonograph, a rotary telephone, and other suitable decorations. SCP-147 will reject any items dating from later than 1965. It requires no external power source or connection.

Description: Discovered 1983 in a civilian home in Detroit, Michigan. SCP-147 appears to be a 1957 General Electric brand black-and-white television, model 17TO26. SCP-147 has been observed to exhibit two different behaviors:

Optimal. When SCP-147 is in an acceptable room, it will display broadcasts of 1950's-era comedies. Shows such as The Burns and Allen Show, Laugh-In, Father Knows Best, and I Love Lucy have been observed; in every case each broadcast has been completely unique: archives of the programs, none of which are still being produced, have failed to find any record of the episodes that SCP-147 plays. No commercials are shown, and there is no indication as to which station would be broadcasting these shows. All broadcasts are in black and white. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its optimal state reported a pleasant feeling of relaxation. In this state the item's volume and channels can be adjusted, though the off switch appears to have no effect.
>> eberstrom
>>450148

Hostile: When modern-day items are present in SCP-147's environment, the item will only display extremely violent and gruesome color footage; beheadings, rapes, executions and torture have all been observed, but as of yet no footage has been broadcast that indicates when or where the scenes depicted took place. The footage is invariably of high visual and audio quality. Subjects exposed to SCP-147 in its hostile state almost invariably vomit due to the graphic nature of the broadcasts after ten to fifteen seconds; one subject suffered a nervous breakdown after two minutes. Every subject has displayed an extreme reluctance to recall the contents of the broadcasts, and two out of the fifteen subjects tasked with viewing SCP-147's hostile broadcasts have since committed suicide. None of the item's controls respond during hostile broadcasts.

Attempts to examine the internals of SCP-147 have been unsuccessful; the item's shell resists any and all attempts to crack it open. Placing the item in a lead-lined room in order to negate any possible transmissions it could be receiving had no effect. The effects of long-term exposure to SCP-147 have not been documented.

Item#: SCP-710

Special Containment Procedure: Item SCP-710 to be kept in a hermetically sealed room that must be at least 30ft x 30ft x 20ft with walls made of corrosion resistant material. An obersation room is to be placed adjacent with a triple layer reinforced pane of corrosion resistant bullt-proof glass seperating them. The room is to be accessed via a hatch in the ceiling, with personnel being lowered in via harnesses. The room is maintain a temperature between 50 degrees Fahrenheit (10 degrees Celsius) and 40 degrees Fahrenheit (4.444444 degrees Celsius). The room is to maintain a constant humidity of 30%. All personnel entering the room must wear only corrosion resistant materials. Under no circumstance is non-living organic material to be allowed in the containment cell. Under no circumstance should any personnel enter the containment cell with any sort of skin injury. Under no circumstance is any material with a pH above 7 allowed in the containment cell. Any violaters will be terminated assuming they survive. All personnel are to be sprayed with a solution of pH 11 after exiting the containment cell.

>>450178

Description: SCP-710 is a living fluid which has the appearance and viscosity of liquid wax and at the present time has a maximum volume of 5,400 cubic feet. SCP-710 is able to increase its density to the point that it has the volume of a typical adult human male. Its ability to control its shape varies inversely with its, with very little control at maximum volume and near perfect control at minimum volume (going so far as to immitate the shape of personnel entering its containment cell). At minimum volume SCP-710 has a pH of 5 and at maximum volume has a pH of -7, however SCP-710 appears to be able to disable its corrosive properties at will and under normal circumstances will choose to not corrode any living object. Dead organic matter will be promptly consumed. Any injured living being exposed to SCP-710 will likewise be consumed. SCP-710 becomes violent when exposed to materials with a pH over 7, with its agitation increase as pH does.SCP-710 is to be fed pH controled organic waste material once weekly and all solids that remain are to be cleaned away immediately, as SCP-710 has been reported to use them to attack personnel when agitated. Under normal circumstances, SCP-710 is quite docile and appears to "play" with personnel that enter its chamber as well as exhibit a childlike curiousity. There is no conclusive evidence that SCP-710 is sentient.

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-472 appears to be a typical Desert Eagle handgun, however it has been altered by interaction with item SCP-338. There seems to be a critical juncture at which an item can be removed. So far, this experiment has not been replicated.
The bullets that the gun fires have an increased level of impact than the bullets it was originally loaded with. They have been recorded as reaching approximately 3x the speed of sound. However, the magazine has fused to the gun. It is estimated only 13 bullets remain in the gun.
The gun need only be locked away from people who may choose to steal it, as it possesses no other unusual quantities.

Item#: SCP-743

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-170 is to be kept in a password-locked cabinet at all times. Only those with Level 1 Security Clearance or higher are allowed access to the item, and must be accompanied by at least two additional personnel.
Any personnel found to have eaten the contents of SCP-170 shall be immediately detained and sent to rehabilitation. If subject does not comply, non-lethal force is authorized if necessary to subdue subject.

Description: SCP-170 is a 1.8 oz/51g bag of Jack Link's teriyaki-flavored beef jerky. The serial number on the bag is 17082-30743.
The bag has the ability to resupply itself with jerky, even after the jerky is completely depleted. The normal time for an empty bag to refill is about 30 minutes.
The jerky found in the bag appears to be highly addictive, despite test showing no physical or chemicals differences from normal jerky. Subjects who have eaten the jerky have described it as the best-tasting jerky they have ever eaten, and all subjects show signs of heavy psychological dependency. MRI scans of subjects who have eaten the jerky have shown extremely high levels of dopamine in the nucleus accumbens and the substantia nigra, areas of the brain associated with addiction. Subjects will become violent if attempts are made to take the jerky away. Subjects experience extreme depression while waiting for the jerky to regenerate.

Item#: SCP-313

Special Containment Proceedures: Item SPC-313 must NOT under any circumstances be placed in restraints or holding cells. Item SPC-313 is harmless so long as it is placed in an open area.

Addendum: All previous attempts to contain it resulted in the loss of two agents, as well as the bottom half of one of our development centers. This object seemly reacts to inorganic or lack of organic materials surrounding it. In both cases, the object would expand until it's containment cell was filled, even then it would continue to permeate though the walls of it's cell. The object would stop only when it had reached the soil on all four sides of building 10-l, at which point it violently retracted back into it's normal state, we had assumed it "ate" whatever was in that area; TESTING WILL RESUME EFFECTIVE: 13:45

Description: Item SCP-313 was recovered from Melbourne, Australia on 03/XX/72. This object, as far as any of our research facilities can deduce, appears simply to be an amorphous blob of clay. It shows no harmful effects when in human contact, scientists have even moulded the object into various shapes during testing.

Object: 03-AAG2

Containment; During all time should object 03-AAG2 be kept in a mild climate, without any wind nor humidity. Object 03-AAG2 seems to dry out, or freeze if temperature is outside the range of 22.4C - 25.1C. It should be kept in a small room, and should only be viewed through air sealed windows thicker than 42cm, and humans should under no circumstances be exposed.

Description; Object 03-AAG2 seems to be some sort of virus or bacteria, greatly oversized, it's extremely important to follow procedure 11/89C-AA and 21/84-AA when dealing with it. Failure to properly follow procedures will endanger your own life, as well as others.

In case of exposure: Stay calm, and await further instructions through the speakers in the sealed room.

Additional: Object 03-AAG2 interacts through slight pigmentation changes, and does not appear to knowingly infect the victims.

Looks like SCP may have to use one of those extradimensional spaces to find themselves a new continent for their shit. miles deep under the earth? 2km wide deadzones where no metal is allowed?

real good job at keeping this shit secret.

So far, I have this bit. I'm working on the incident log now.

Item#: SCP-691

Special Containment Procedures: At the time of this log, item SCP-691 is located deep within a glacier located at [COORDINATES CLASSIFIED]. It was relocated after an incident at Site 19. Attached to this report is a log of said incident. Since the time of the incident, O5-3 has decided that only Level 4 personnel are to be permitted to access the object, and no more then two at a time. If, whilst accessing the object, the personnel begin to severely perspire or dehydrate for no apparent reason, they are to be terminated immediately. Should item SCP-691 need to be relocated again, it is to be kept in sub-arctic temperatures at all times. Failing to do so will allow it to manipulate the air around it for approximately 3.19 kilometers. If SCP-691 somehow makes it’s way into a public area, the area is to be immediately quarantined, and all effected living creatures are to be terminated. The aforementioned attached log will explain the reasoning behind this, as well as describe the item’s full effect.

Object: SCP-022

Containment: SCP-022 is contained within a reinforced metal room with a two-lock system. SCP-022 appears to be a non-hostile entity, so security only had to be maintained at a Level 2 mode. A minimum of two people should enter the SCP-022 chamber. Although no personal have been lost to SCP-022 to date, we shall err on the side of caution. Upon exiting, all personal involved will have their pockets checked, as well as psychological tests to see if any abnormal displays of hunger manifest.

Description: SCP-022 is a humanoid creature. It makes no sound, however. It appears to wear a crown like object made of a paper-like substance. It’s body is covered by a regal looking fabric, as well as cape. Its head appears to look like a human male, but it is actually made of a type of malleable plastic. It’s facial expression is that of happiness, but is frozen and unmoving. This appears to be a type of psychological defense mechanism. Any personal exposed to this for more than five minutes may experience feeling of paranoia. SCP-022 also has brown hair on it’s head, made of the same substance. When entering it’s room, personal may be confronted by SCP-022. It will often appear to be gone, only to appear in an unlikely location in the room. Once spotted, SCP-022 will stare at personal until they exit. The reason for this is unknown.

SCP-022 has also been known to suddenly offer any personal a sandwich, made of sesame bun and an unidentified kind of meat, with various condiments on it. It is unknown wear it produces these foods. Should SCP-022 offer you such a sandwich, immediately exit without taking your eyes off of SCP-022. It is unknown what would happen if one were eaten, but they are observed to cause great hunger in those who come in contact with them. Any personal who do accept them are to be terminated immediately.

I think the reports should use Kelvins and the metric system, but I believe that it is a good idea to include the information in Fahrenheit/Celsius degrees and U.S. customary units using parentheses. These try to appear scientific, and doing this would add to that.

Item#: SCP-050

Special Containment Procedures: WARNING, SCP-050 IS A KETER-LEVEL OBJECT. ACCESS IS PROHIBITED TO ALL PERSONNEL EXCEPT FOR ASSIGNED CLASS D PERSONNEL. ALL VIOLATES ARE TO BE TERMINATED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. SCP-050 is to have a class D attendant report in at least once every 17 days to the base station established on the inside of the secure bulkhead. Should no class D attendant report within the alloted time, another attendant is to be sent through the bulkhead to SCP-050. Under no circumstance are any class D attendants to return from beyond the bulkhead. Alll supplies are to be deliver though the autonomous system.

Decrption: Discovered in sub-level 17 of omicron facility at site 3. SCP-050 is an unmarked opended security door at the end of a storage room and is not refereneced in any plans, even up to the O5-X level. Site 3 quickly established a secure bulkhead to seal off the storage room and has been sending in class D personnel to examine what lies beyond the security door. All reports thus far indicate that it is an exact replica of site 3, except that it appears devoid of any activity save the class D personnel that have entered. At the present only 23% of the facility has been mapped out.

Item#: SCP-16

Special Containment Procedures: The item must remain locked within locker #16. Knowledge of the item must be restricted to Level 4 agents.

Description:Item SCP-16 resembles a small piece of red jasper. If touched by living organic matter, it changes to a green hue, and is rendered ineffective for 30 minutes, at which point it returns to its original colour.
When touched by uncovered living skin, the item alters the DNA of the organism touching it, to switch the gender of the organism. (Note, for asexual or hermaphroditic organisms, there is no noticeable effect.) This effect is permanent, although it can be reversed by once again touching the item, after it has reverted to its red state.

Note: Level 2 operative Lt. Shard expressed and continues to express interest in this object, and often removes it from containment for his own personal use. This should not be encouraged, but is providing useful data on repeated use. Therefore, as long as he continues to return it, no disciplinary action is needed.

[Classified-available only to O5-6]:
John, we could make a killing out of this in the field of gender reorientation. You and I both know we don't get paid enough for this job. It's ridiculously dangerous, and the rewards are slim. I have been developing contacts in certain medical facilities, and we are establishing a resource trail. Want in?

Attached Log: B9271-3816

2/14/2007Today, item SCP-691 was brought into the Level 7 Quarantine lab at Site 19. It is contained within a tank, frozen with liquid nitrogen and locked inside of a larger container, also frozen. The objects effects are currently unknown, although manipulation of heat is suspected, the agents who recovered it were covered in burns, although no source of heat capable of such injuries was detected for over 30 miles around the pick-up site. Examination will begin at 0900 tomorrow.

2/15/2007

Today at 0900 hours, 4 Level 3 personnel entered the containment room and removed the tank from the larger, box like container. The personnel in question were equipped with full hazard suits. Due to the temperature at which the room must be kept, they were also each supplied with a 2 hour personal heat generator within the suits. External tests on the tank reveal nothing, although a faint heat signature is detected. Two of the personnel in the room begin to unseal the tank. As they finish doing so, and the top of the tank is removed, the room’s temperature immediately jumps by .8 degrees. All four men within the room report that they are beginning to perspire intensely for no particular reason. They’re heart beats also begin to increase on our monitors. All four men are experts in they’re own fields, and begin to run experiments based on said expertise. One of the men prod’s the substance within the container, drawing a small sample. It is a mercury like substance, very similar looking to quick-silver. The rod the sample is contained on is reported to have drastically increased in temperature before melting. Nothing else is known currently, for the bit of substance removed from the tank hitting the frozen floor caused steam to engulf the room. Our sensors had just enough time to register the non-contained substance at 800 degrees Kelvin before going offline. This is a troubling development. Suggesting restriction to Level 4 personnel only. Note: The four men within the chamber seem to have been engulfed, and disintegrated by the steam, as no remains of them or their suits were found.

2/19/2007

It has been four days since the incident with item SCP-691. Access to the item has been restricted to level four personnel only. Experimentation will be attempted again today, if similar results are met, I shall suggest the item be classified as a Keter Class SCP Item, in which case the proper containment measures shall be placed into effect. Two Level Four personnel have entered the chamber, the same suit status applies. The personnel previously in the chamber seem to have resealed the tank before termination. The two level four personnel have now unsealed it. There appears to be more substance within the tank now, it was originally only filled about a quarter of the way, it now appears to have risen to almost the brim. The temperature in the chamber has now jumped 20 degrees. Immediate reaction is evident. The temperature is now steadily climbing by 20 degrees about every three minutes. The tank has been ordered resealed, and has been. Both personnel were perspiring profusely upon exiting chamber. They have been terminated. Test’s were preformed both before and after termination, and they’re bodies DNA seemed to have been rewritten to cause internal temperature to steadily rise. Recommend this object be classified as Keter Level.

2/20/2007

The item has been removed from Site 19 after another failed attempt to control it. The amount of substance has increased, and has spilled over into the secondary container. The amount of heat generated this time was enough to melt a hole through the chamber wall, and the effects of the heat are felt approximately 3.19 km around in any direction. The temperature of the air in the facility was raised by about 21 degrees Kelvin in that area. The object will placed into a glacier and monitored by remote observation tools controlled from Site 19.

Note to O5-3: This thing is dangerous Mike, too dangerous for us to handle. If we can find a way to use SCP-710 to manipulate it, we may have a chance. If not, I suggest we let this thing stay buried and frozen till the end of time. If someone got their hands on it and released it…we’d be looking at a 90% incinerated or evaporated planet within weeks. I still insist it be classified as a Keter Level object.

There, now theres a loli running around,

Item#: SCP-042

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-042 Is to be kept in minimal security room CR-4563, and is only to be accessed at anytime by E3-05-B
and an ideologically and mentally sound female medical tech at 1600 hours; this failed the room will be assigned in advance to an ideologically and mentally sound female level three by O5-5. At this time the wounds on 042's back are to be inspected and treated, and a shot of morphine is to be administered. At this time, any suspected medical issues will be treated or tested for. This done, E3-05-B, at her disgession, may bring 042 to the ajoining vacant field for a resonable period of time. After this time, appox. 1700 hours, 042 to is to be given a standardized amount of hay, water, and oats, and the heating ventalation is to be switched on.

Description: Item SPC-042 is equine in form, however is supposedly capible of intelligent discorse. This unseen, however, more to the interests of Site 19 is the creature's anomalous bone structure, perticually a lengeths of bone, 63 cen. according to xray, protruding 24 cen. approximately on either side of its back, with torn muscles, ligiments, and flesh on the bone. SPC-042 shows a dislike towards men, (however, in tests pertaining to this nature, 042 cannot tell the difference between a woman and a man of nontraditional gender roll) and a fondness towards E3-05-B.

Known History: E3-05-B is the civilan daughter of 05-5, and orginally brought SCP-042 to the attention of 05-5. A detail was sent to the home of E3-05-B and her mother. This when without incident. However, on request of 05-5, E3-05-B, 'Anna-Clarice', was added as a civilan temperary for level three, and is supected to become a paid staff member once she is eligible for work permit, assumably 2011 without varibles other than age.

Item#: SCP-156

Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-156 is to be kept in a hermetically sealed room at all times. Temperatures must be kept below 60 degrees Fahrenheit (15.5 degrees Celsius). Access to SCP-156’s room is restricted to Class D Personnel. When personnel enter SCP-156's room, no fewer than 2 may enter at any time and all personnel must be wearing Class IV Biohazard suits. In the event of suit failure, the offending person must be removed to the inner decontamination lock and Decontamination Procedure 2* enacted. In the event that the chamber is breached, the facility housing SCP will be flooded with Liquid Nitrogen and a dead lock seal enabled.

Description: Item SPC-156 appears to be a gray mold no more than 2 centimeters thick. Tests have shown that SPC-156 reacts quickly to temperatures above 70 degrees Fahrenheit (21 degrees Celsius), growing exponentially. When exposed to temperatures above 70 degrees Fahrenheit, SPC-156 doubles in size every 2 minutes. Higher temperatures increase the speed of growth exponentially. SPC-156 was first found in a trailer on the outskirts of a small city near the US/Mexico border. The growth had control over 14 people living in the nearby town. The infected showed no symptoms unless wounded, at which point the blood of the infected was seen to be a grayish color. The infected seem to be under the mental control of SCP-156, which appears to be sentient, and desires sources of heat. First attempts at eradication involving fire were disastrous, resulting in the loss of 2 containment teams.

*Decontamination Procedure 2: The inner decontamination lock is to be flooded with liquid nitrogen and sealed for 5 minutes. After the requisite time has passed, Class D Personnel are to enter the inner decontamination lock and seal the body inside a Class 3 Container, to be stored in SCP-156’s chamber.
