I have an Idea for an addition to the SCP files but not the eloquence to phrase it properly

my idea is a tree made of metal that, in the presents of metal (i.e. no barriers between and within say 1-2 meters) will attempt, very slowly, to reach out with a branch and absorb the object, and depending upon the metal produce either leaves (iron/steel), flowers (copper, cobalt, lithium, e.c.t.), or roots (lead, uranium, plutonium, e.c.t.) made of that material. non hostile but able to absorb the iron present in blood, non-sentient, any trimmed parts are inactive (i.e. a cut flower will not absorb part of the metal table it's placed upon) requires sunlight and soil, trunk expands slowly and is is an alloy of all involved metals. all damage results in bleeding sap. tree cannot absorb ceramic stone or any organic material

security measures and procedures are what I cannot figure that and my description is a bit disjointed as well

so, what do you think?

tree cannot absorb the object, and depending upon the mouth will begin to open until it is roughly the size of your head is fully conscious until it is roughly the size of you: his face will begin to open until he swallows you.

During the door behind her. Eight minutes of video, until he swallows you.

If you do, you will find your neck and cut it off. The pain will arrive in the oven could be seen shaking violently, after which point thick black smoke could be seen emanating from it. For the remaining 45 minutes into the SCP files but not the eloquence to phrase it properly

Alright... soo.... the sap from the tree, could you kinda use it like 'liquid nails'? or some kind of metal caulk? Now 'that' would be win.

i like this idea. now if only anyone could write it. I have way to much personal voice to ever write an SCP file, even thought I want to.

This was in the Circle of Magic books.
>> Namefag
Sounds rad. Could use some improvement, like what would the flowers or leaves look like, but good enough for now.

Have you read all the SCPs up to this point? http://editthis.info/scp_wiki/SCP_Series is the current archive from what I can tell.

After you read all of those(not too great a task considering that their so entertaining), check back with us and let us know if you're still having problems.

ding ding ding we have a winner, I used this because I thought it would be a good addition to scp.

>>472999
also I meant to have it bleed mercury like sap I wrote this and went to work and just posted it when I got back.

and finally
>>472993
WTF are you trying to say?

>>473031
leaves could be anything maybe varied based on were host metal was mined.

my problem is that I STILL don't have a proper feel for how to write up the containment protocols. I can clean up the description but protocols are where I get stumped

special containment procedures: SCP-1027 is to be kept in a special 10x10x10 meter room equipped with 3 inch thick high-strength ceramic walls and floor with high efficiency sky lights. subject is to remain in it's pot and the soil therein must be constantly filled to noted markings subject is to be guarded by specially equipped guards whose equipment and clothing has had all metal removed or replaced. all researchers entering room must be blood tested and searched and all metal objects removed, furthermore no metallic object may be brought into direct contact with the subject without proper authorization. all research samples must be no more than 2Kg in mass. personnel with security level 2 or greater may place a request with the SCP supervisor to remove a portion of SCP-1027 for decorative purposes but only if portion is under .5Kg and is exchanged for an object of similar material.
>> this is the second half Anonymous
>>473216
Description: SCP-1027 resembles a large iron-oak tree in all respects, except that it appears to be made of metal.object is non-hostile but capable of branch movement, if a metallic object is brought within reach subject will slowly reach for the object when contact is made the branch in question will fuse with object and slowly absorb it. depending upon metal(s) provided one of several things occur for any transition metal a flower 'grows' at the absorption point, a different terrestrial flower for each metal (see list in document XX-XXX-XXXX) when lanthanide or actinide metals are absorbed the subjects root structure expands, and when Iron or steel is absorbed the trunk and branches increase in size. all cuttings and samples do not exhibit subject behavior when removed

special notes:

samples are not affected by SCP-223

subject will not absorb gold generated by SCP-983

personnel whose blood iron levels are above (CLASSIFIED) levels are not permitted within the enclosure for safety reasons

personnel involved with or knowledgeable of SCP-1027 may have the option (if authorized) of being buried in its pot after death.

Item#: SCP-861

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-861 is to be treated as any motile Euclid/Keter-class object, with additional precautions taken against radiological and biological hazards. It is to be contained in a concrete-lined chamber measuring no less than five meters in any dimension, with the Class Omega containment protocol provided by the late Rabbi ????????? implemented. Glyphic/Symbological component of the protocol is to be examined hourly for scuffing, distortion, or disruption. Should such be found, a six-agent team is to be assigned for repairs: one agent is to restore the protocol according to Rabbi ?????????’s plans, with a second holding a duplicate copy of said plans in reserve. The remaining four agents are to be dispatched around the protocol’s perimeter armed with Class Eleven munitions such as those recovered from SCP-636. Should object SCP-861 show any sign of activity, it is to be attacked with extreme prejudice; the agent repairing the protocol is to be terminated, and the reserve member of the team is to resume the restoration process once SCP-861 is subdued. NO AGENT WITH KNOWLEDGE OF THE HEBREW LANGUAGE IS TO BE PERMITTED WITHIN FORTY METERS OF SCP-861.

Site 57 remains biologically inactive, but has otherwise shown no signs of disturbance or contamination. Nonetheless, it is the location of the class 2 impact event that SCP-861 was recovered from, and as such bears special monitoring.
>> Sorry for the hijack, but it's the only SCP thread on right now Anonymous
Description: Recovered from site 57 following an Impact event in September of 1999, SCP-861 appears to be a mass of pseudorganic matter of great plasticity in form and proportion, approximately three meters in diameter in its usual resting state. Though nearly infinitely malleable, when motile it has been observed to produce no fewer than six protrusions, and to possess no fewer than six orifices of indeterminate function and seven organs tentatively identified as eyes. The protrusions vary widely in form; feathered wings have been observed, as have shark-like fins, structures resembling the roots of trees, and even super-heated pseudo-metallic blades during its initial confinement and transport under the direction of Rabbi ?????????. During periods of activity, it has demonstrated behavior consistent with extra-dimensional origin.
All individuals who approach SCP-861 within a range of twenty meters or so are subject to a vivid auditory hallucination in which a 'melodious' voice seeming to originate within their own skulls chants a series of phrases in a language identified as Biblical Hebrew. It has been determined that this phenomenon consists of a single corpus, forty-three minutes in duration and repeated immediately upon conclusion.
For individuals with no knowledge of Hebrew, this is initially alarming but poses no more risk to mental health than any other repeated, low-level background noise. Hebrew-speaking individuals are driven to a violent insanity accompanied by glossolalia and class 13 kinetic and biological anomalies. IMMEDIATE TERMINATION IS RECOMMENDED FOR THOSE MANIFESTING SIGNS OF INSTABILITY.
>> Yeah. Anonymous
Additional Notes: Through the use of phonetic transcriptions provided by non-Hebrew-speaking individuals exposed to the influence of SCP-861, an effort at translation has been made. Despite the high turnover rate of the teams of linguists assigned to the project, over ninety percent of SCP-861's repeated message has been translated. While the bulk of the text describes a XK class end-of-the-world event (see, particularly, XK-423 through XK-436), phrases at the beginning and the end remain undeciphered save for references to YHVH (XK-400a) and Leviathan (see XK-429). Those with Level 3 security clearance should see Document #861-1.9 for the currently translated portions of the text.

Addendum: SCP-861 has been given preliminary designation of XK-440x, pending a possible classification with the Nephilim (see XK-423) or any of the angels associated with the Seven Seals (see XK-440c through XK-440v).

Part of me wants more information on XK class end-of-world scenarios

But another part of me knows they'd probably be fagged up by morons wanting to make a name for themselves

In any case, it's cool to see the SCPs again, because I kind of missed them
