Part 1

Allright. So the Devil's tree is only a few towns over where I live. So this was last year, senior year of High School and my best friend Dan and I wanted to do a Weird New Jersey run. We live in watchung, right next to warren, so right around us is a shit load of Weird NJ stuff. The Lion from MGM was buried next to my girlfriend's house, the egg dispenser, The 12 nuns etc. etc. As a matter of fact I live ON the road of the Thirteen witches (http://www.weirdnj.com/stories/_roads06.asp). So Dan and I were looking for somethign new. The Devil's Tree.

So things actually got a little creepy.

We decided to go early during the day. Cops supposedly patrol the tree at night, and we didn't want to get lost. As we drive we tell each other stories about the tree.

***Also, I would like to say that the following story is all true and not embelished in teh least. There is one point where i would like to embellish it to make it more sinister, but i would rather tell you guys the truth***

We talk about how if you touch the tree, a black truck is supposed to chase you and drive off the road. How touching the tree means bad luck/death, all that garbage. As we drive, no joke, a black fucking cat runs across the road, causing Dan (who was driving) to swerve. We nearly spin out.

Freaked out of course but undeterred. The drive ends up taking longer then we expected. And suddenly its getting dark. We were both weirded out by this. The ride should only of taken 20 minutes but it was suddenly like, an hour later.

This could of been anything, not supernatural. We were two teens. We were probably goofing off more then we realized, or took the long way without noticing. It was still very creepy adn disorienting.

Well arrive at the tree. Yeah it's the tree. Weird looking but nothing special. THe picture is right there on wikipedia. The scary thing about is the fencing around the trunk. Makes it silent hill-ish.
>> TheMadLeper !/aPzExRzGw

>>526254

Part 2

So we pull over get up and head to the tree. We giggle like idiots the whole way. Dan touches it and runs back, i linger a little. We run back get in the car giggling like fags and pull out.

There is a deafening blaring horn the makes me jump right of my seat, nearly pissing myself. I think dan even screamed. Dan had nearly backed out into another vehicle. He spins out and drves away. When we look in the mirrors, the vehicle was a Black Truck.

It took us a moment to make that terrifying connection.

Understandably we are very scared the rest of the night. I remember at least me being genuinely scared for a good while. You know what your mind does when your scared. You start thinking and scaring yourself. I began imagining a killer or monster killing me. Imagining faces staring at us from teh woods as we drove off. As i type this i start gettign scared. As minor as all that was, i was genuinely terrified on the ride back

This is the part that I would love to embellish. After arriving home, Dan and I decide to grab dinner. So we get back into the car and head out. As Dan begins to pull into the high way, he accidently hits a car in front of us.

I wish i could tell you something cool about that. That it was a terrible wreck, there was blood and shrapnel and deaht. Sorry. Not even a scratch. We pull over, inspect the damages, exchange info just in case, and drive off to enjoy our dinner.

Now that i think about it, I filmed a portion of this as well. I save it onto my home computer. I'm at college now with a laptop and my lil brother took over the home comp, so no gurantees it's still around. I'll do some investigating though when i go home next.

And that's the story.

My aunt told me a similar story, but I don't know where exactly the place is. Anyways, someone had come across a railroad track and there was a train coming by and the person would've been killed by the train if they hadn't been pushed back by an unseen force. Later they looked and the car had originally had dust on the hood but there were distinct traces of children's hands on the hood, as if pushing on the car. I believe the legend was that a bus of kids going on a field trip (?) went across the railroad track but a train hit them and killed them, and after they haunted that place but would push back any cars getting too close to the tracks while a train was coming. Anyone have the wiki for this?

Has anyone else noticed the wiki page for Black Eyed Kids is gone?

If anyone knows this story, I'd appreciate if they could tell me the origin: there's this small town that has a baby boom. All of the children are normal, happy and healthy, but they have these unusual yellow eyes. The kids get to about the first grade and a teacher of their's traps them in the classroom and burns down the school. When they ask why she did it, she tells the police that they were 'evil children'.

Taken from the Beaumont Children wiki:

In 1979, the body of a young man was found in Adelaide. Identified as Neil Muir (aged 25), his body was badly mutilated. In 1982, the mutilated body of Mark Langley (aged 18) was found. Before his death, he had been subjected to "surgery" — his abdomen was sliced open, and had been shaved prior to this. Part of his bowel had been removed and Langley had died from loss of blood. Over the next few months more bodies were found. The dismembered skeletal remains of Peter Stogneff (aged 14) were found almost a year after his disappearance and Alan Barnes (aged 18) was found mutilated in a similar manner to Langley. In 1983 a fifth victim Richard Kelvin (aged 15) was found, once again with the same mutilations.
One of the witnesses, regarded as highly credible by police, related a conversation in which von Einem boasted of having taken three children from a beach several years earlier, and said he had taken them home to conduct experiments. He said he had performed surgery on each of them, and had "connected them together." One of the children had died during the procedure and so he had killed the other two and dumped all the bodies in bushland south of Adelaide. Police had not considered von Einem in connection with the Beaumont children, but he very closely matched the descriptions and police sketches from 1966.

God thats fucking disturbing.

I'm from Miami. My parents aren't homeless, but they are cheap as fuck. One summer when I was 9 or 10, they sent me to the day camp at the Police Athletic League because it was mad dirt cheap.

We did the normal shitty summer things; playing dodgeball and gluing together popsicle sticks and whatever. We used to have huge super soaker fights too, which was cool. The funny thing was that the PAL building was separated from the Boys and Girls Club summer camp (which looked like a crackhouse, that place was incredibly shitty) by a chain link fence.

It was a free summer camp for underprivelaged kids. We were NEVER supposed to play with them, and kids got in trouble for talking to them through the fence. It was supposed to be for our safety; those kids were really streetsmart and rough. So anyway the coolest thing to do when our counselors weren't looking during lunch was to run over to that side of the fence and talk to those kids.

That summer I learned the word "fuck", which I still cherish today. But also they used to tell us crazy ass stories. One of the stories they used to tell us was that guns were invented by the devil, and that gunshots made a loud noise because every time someone fired a gun, satan laughed in hell and it shook the ground.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Fish

Dear Mrs. Budd. In 1894 a friend of mine shipped as a deck hand on the Steamer Tacoma, Capt. John Davis. They sailed from San Francisco for Hong Kong, China. On arriving there he and two others went ashore and got drunk. When they returned the boat was gone. At that time there was famine in China. Meat of any kind was from $1-3 per pound. So great was the suffering among the very poor that all children under 12 were sold for food in order to keep others from starving. A boy or girl under 14 was not safe in the street. You could go in any shop and ask for steak—chops—or stew meat. Part of the naked body of a boy or girl would be brought out and just what you wanted cut from it. A boy or girl's behind which is the sweetest part of the body and sold as veal cutlet brought the highest price. John staid [sic] there so long he acquired a taste for human flesh. On his return to N.Y. he stole two boys, one 7 and one 11. Took them to his home stripped them naked tied them in a closet. Then burned everything they had on. Several times every day and night he spanked them – tortured them – to make their meat good and tender. First he killed the 11 year old boy, because he had the fattest ass and of course the most meat on it. Every part of his body was cooked and eaten except the head—bones and guts. He was roasted in the oven (all of his ass), boiled, broiled, fried and stewed. The little boy was next, went the same way. At that time, I was living at 409 E 100 St. near—right side. He told me so often how good human flesh was I made up my mind to taste it.On Sunday June the 3, 1928 I called on you at 406 W 15 St. Brought you pot cheese—strawberries. We had lunch. Grace sat in my lap and kissed me. I made up my mind to eat her. On the pretense of taking her to a party.

You said yes she could go. I took her to an empty house in Westchester I had already picked out. When we got there, I told her to remain outside. She picked wildflowers. I went upstairs and stripped all my clothes off. I knew if I did not I would get her blood on them. When all was ready I went to the window and called her. Then I hid in a closet until she was in the room. When she saw me all naked she began to cry and tried to run down the stairs. I grabbed her and she said she would tell her mamma. First I stripped her naked. How she did kick – bite and scratch. I choked her to death, then cut her in small pieces so I could take my meat to my rooms. Cook and eat it. How sweet and tender her little ass was roasted in the oven. It took me 9 days to eat her entire body. She died a virgin.

He later admitted to police that he did, in fact, rape her.

This kind of stuff is common folklore. A number of counties in North Carolina have similar stories, like Stanley County for instance. All similar things: People killed by tain, put powder on rear of car and hands show up.

In fact, it was a school bus full of kids too. You'll usually find no actual basis in fact. Just people trying to make others shit bri/x/

Which fucking /x/ does for the most retarded things, like previous poster.

Seriously that story is an old urban legend it always involves kids in some sort of accident usually hit by a train because their school bus got caught on the tracks and if you turn off your car on the tracks they will push you across or something. It's old and been done in countless variations.

Yay for San Antonio, TX! Ever been to the haunted asylum on Farm Rd and Southton? Or the abandoned Retirement Home on Woodlawn and Callaghan?

It's not THAT close, but go to Fort Phantom. With a name like that, it MUST be haunted. And some people claim there's a giant fish in the lake there.

I'm also from that area; Somerville, and let me tell you, the Devil's tree is absolutely ridiculous. My friend and I went there one night after a basketball game and snowstorm. #1- there was definitely snow under the tree and #2- he ripped a chunk of bark out of the tree and NOTHING HAPPENED =o As for the black truck chasing people, it's well known that the farmer up the road chases kids away sometimes with the lights off in his black pickup truck. It's just a fucking tree with one long branch; nothing to shit your pants over.

The blue hole that supposedly leads to hell is equally stupid. It's really tiny and really annoying to find and is nothing but a really deep hole in the woods. My friend [the one from the Devil's Tree] jumped in it over the summer and said it just felt fine; not remarkably cold or creepy or anything. In fact, it's actually pretty nice and calm by it, probably because most kids are scared off by the stories about the hole.

The NJ Devil is just a way to keep people interested in the state. Seriously, my town has a "hunt for the Jersey Devil" every year on Halloween where you have to pay about $15 to look for it while teenagers jump out from behind trees wearing masks and try to get you to jump. What a scam.
