sup /x/philes

I have a simple question for you:

Out of all of the paranormal, supernatural, mystical beings there are (or rather, aren’t), which would you most be terrified of if they were real, and why?

What scares you, /x/? Vampires, werewolves, zombies, demons, aliens?
Ghosts, mermaids, doppelgangers, shadowpeople, necromancers, BEK’s?
Or even those fucking statues from Dr. Who?
>> Anonymous
Just the statues from Doctor Who. But only when watching the episode. I don't fear statues irl.
>> Anonymous
Mindflayers, Illithids, or any other type of humanoid that gets off by making you crazy.
>> Anonymous
Shadowpeople, and Doppelgangers.
Something following you, you know it's there, you see it out of the corner of your eye, but you don't see it at the same time.
Doppelgangers. HOSHIT, EVIL TWIN.
>> Anonymous
Strangely enough, none of the above scare me. It's real human beings that are terrifying to me. They all love the same, but some of them are monsters and you can never tell until it's too late.
>> Anonymous
Motherfucking great old ones from Lovecraft.. Fucking Cthulhu and shit? That would be like.. fuck in a can. A can with tentacles, and wings, and madness inducing shit.. its fucked up dude.
>> Anonymous
The idea of Vampires scares me. It looks human, beautiful in fact. They're hypnotic, entrancing, intelligent. But it wants to kill me and drink my blood. OH NOW THAT'S NICE.
>> Anonymous
I think if red bull actually gave you wings, that would be really scary.
>> Anonymous
Succubi.
Hey, a hot woman in my bed, oh wow, she's touching my cock. OH GOD SHE'S FUCKING RIPPING MY BALLS OFF TO GET MY SEMEN OH GOD NO WHYYY.
Okay maybe that's not what usually happens, but the idea of a ugly demon woman raping me is not fun.
>> Anonymous
ghosts.
especially if i can't see them.
the thought of a few ghosts hanging around me right now, as i'm typing, just staring at me is terrifying. even worse when i turn around and for all i know i could be staring one straight in the eyes, and it could be staring straight back at me.

christ.

Werewolves. Furries that can actually do damage. Oh lawd.

Anything that wants to hurt me at all.

Aliens. The fact they could be out there, now, plotting to destroy Earth or just beam me up and stick a probe in my ass. Other intelligent lifeforms would scare me.

Shadow people

If they wanted to destroy the earth all they'd have to do is nudge an asteroid into an intersecting orbit with the earth. We'd be fucked atm.

not so much ghosts, but poltergeists. Ghosts that are malevolent, destructive. Complete mindfuck.

Maybe BEK.

Zombies. I am so unprepared for A Zombie outbreak. I would literally die within the first few hours.

For some reason, anything unknown from the space or sea scares the shit outta me. They're both just so vast, and untouched that I don't know what to fucking expect to just pop up and devour me whole. Especially since http://youtube.com/watch?v=8-SbFiADSoY I've been wary of Cthullu's awakening...

Shadow people, and poltergeists. Both of those two things just have a malevolent feeling to them, something I can't shake.

On the other hand, there's a few things that I'd be fine with. Vampires are fine, and I'd probably be the kind of guy who'd help by finding them good humans to feed on. Same goes for extraterrestrials. I'd attempt to strike a deal with them. Odds are they're trying to further their own understanding of science; something that I'm all for.

Those damn grey aliens. Always been scared of those. You know you'd lose it if you woke up in the middle of the night and saw some dark silhouette at the side of your bed, perfectly still, staring at you with its head leaning to the side.

You'd keep staring at it, waiting for your eyes to adjust, thinking "That can't possibly be there. I'm just seeing things. Besides. It's not moving."

So you lean over to turn on your lamp, and lean back and there it is, even CLOSER, leaning in toward you, its huge black eyes boring into your soul.

And then, in a lightning fast movement, its hand shoots out and grabs you and drags you up to the ship.

Black eyed people are on the top of my /x/ list

Shadowpeople scare the shit out of me, just because they can blend in so well and watch you with out getting caught.
>> Rogutaan
>>528738

I just find it funny you mentioned mermaids.

Succubi scare me. I mean, you're having the normal one-night-stand, only she steals your soul while having sex.

Well, at least you get sex out of it though...

>>529631
but what if its a sorta hot female gray alien chick? I would still be startled, but from what I read in another thread, female gray aliens love having sex and its WAY better than human sex, they put you to sleep over and over again right before you cum, so when they finally let you shasam, you cum lakes and they tap into your mind and share the experience with you. Makes me want to stand out in a field.

Shadow people and Japanese ghost girls make me shit enough bricks that they can become sentient woman lifeforms that I can have sex with and be satisfied. The Bloop is also creepy

Werewolves. You're walking along, minding your own damn business and BAM! Friendly old man Cobb is now a nine foot murder machine.

i'd have sex with a vampire.

if ghosts actually existed i'd be pretty fuckin freaked out.

I honestly think if any paranormal thing were real, and I saw it, not on a video tape or anything, I'd be scared shitless no matter what it was. Except for Daleks. All you have to do to defeat a Dalek is talk, and eventually they decide not to "exterminate" you.

Aliens and Dopplegangers.

Aliens because who the fuck nows if they would be friendly or hostile?

Dopplegangers are just fucking creepy.

In a few of out cases, more like GOOD twin amirite?

I agree with this one, creepy shit just out of view, coupled with my extreme paranoia? I'd go nuts. Also, little girls with long black hair and pale skin. I just can't take the blonde ones seriously.

Probably Daemons because they would be the sect which would most likely be Leese effected by our weapons and our military.

I think people in general don't give this species enough credit,we're one of these thing's found out to be a real threat i'm sure we would devise a way to destroy them.

Probably a vicious ghost...like one of the angry Japanese ones you see in their movies...people, the wildest and most terrifying animal of all, are scary as shit...but make those people dead with supernatural powers and a thirst for your death, and regular people don't seem so scary anymore.

Sci-fi occassionally, BBC almost all the time. That's US, though, don't know about your neck.

,here.

Should mention, Blink (that episode there) is probably the most brix-inducing episode of the series. The rest are kind of quirky, weird, funny sort of. But Blink is like eating a jar of Vaseline and following it up with a couple boxes of Ex-Lax.

I shat a Weeping Angel after seeing that episode.

Sea monsters.

We know more about the surface of Mars than we do about the bottom of the Marianas Trench. Any number of terrible leviathans could hide down there. With nothing but ocean all around you they could drag you down to the depths and there'd be nothing you could do. No fight, no flight.
>> Anonymous
>>530403

Probably not. Keep in mind that food is incredibly scarce down there and that the immense pressure, assuming that a leviathan did evolve down there, would mean that it would have very little by way of bones or cartlidge or exoskeleton and thus would find it bloody difficult to function outside of the trench. Also, that far down, it'd be inlikely that it'd be breathing oxygen.

So all in all, nothing's impossible, but it's unlikely.
