Addendum

USAF File: C203-92b Date: Jun 7, 1952

Filed by: Capt. Henry Milan

Item found outside of Yuma, Arizona on March 24th.

During regular training exercises, Corporal Ben Flynn and his squadron came across an strange statue in an empty installation set to be used for future bombing run training. The statue is approximately seven feet tall and human in form. The arms and legs are disproportionate to the head and torso, resembling a fetus. Strange colouration was noted on the face of the statue and it was posed against on of the inner walls of the building. Upon further inspection, Corporal Flynn noted that the statue is composed of mostly cement and is possibly reinforced with steel rebar. It is likely man-made.

Further investigation of the surrounding area yielded no other signs of transportation for the statue other that misshapen foot prints. It is likely that the statue was placed there by locals looking to create a stir or possibly protest the war. Private Allen Benson took the supplied photograph to document the area in the event that an investigation to the security of the training area is to take place.

Private Benson reported that he heard the sound of heavy scraping within the building shortly after he left. This prompted a search of the other rooms in case any civilians may have still been in the building but were undetected. The area was given an "all clear" by the squad commander and the statue was left in the building. It was deemed necessary that on June 9th, a final morning inspection of the building will be conducted before it is demolished to make certain that no civilians have returned to the area and to ensure no lives are lost.

thats the rest of it..

SCP Series Archive

The "Special Containment Procedures" Series has been making the rounds online for at least half a year. Now, someone finally took the initiative to compile SCP posts to date into a centralized wiki archive available here. No surprise if you have no idea what I'm referring to. The SCP series is popular among certain online communities, but for the most part was exclusively associated with them so far without breaking into wider known channels. Perhaps this blog can help increase awareness of these "creepypasta" short stories, seemingly the work of anonymous individuals.

Each SCP entry is a self-contained story which, ideally, is written like a military directive for keeping some bizarre creature, relic, or phenomena under control. Usually, personnel must carefully avoid doing something that might unleash an unholy horror, using a specific set of instructions to protect themselves and the broader world from each mysterious oddity held at the secret base. Hence, the name "Special Containment Procedures." In many instances, these are accompanied by specific images. The pictures likely originated as art projects or Photoshop modifications, and were appropriated by the anonymous creators of these writings to enhance atmospheric fear and provide clarity for each SCP. This combination does a great job of reaching its intended goal, as the very first SCP (SCP-173) demonstrates below.

Item # SCP-529 "Josie"

Object Class: Safe

Special Containment Procedures: No special precautions have yet proven necessary. "Josie" is quite affectionate, and at this stage is free to move about the lower levels of the facility. Staff are not permitted to feed cheese to her - she will become distressed if not given additional cheese.

Description: Artifact is a small grey house cat resembling the siamese breed.

Parts of the animal to the rear of the end of the ribcage appear to be missing. The body terminates sharply as if sliced in two.

In spite of this, the animal has no health problems, and moves about as if its hindquarters were still in place. For example, walking takes place as usual, and some time after feeding the animal makes motions as if to void itself of waste matter.

The cross-section does not display the interior of the animal, but appears pure black to the eye, and absorbs all non-visible wavelengths of light. It is slightly yielding to the touch. Gentle stoking of this area sometimes yields a positive reaction (purring and so on) but more usually leads to the creature turning on the agent, claws at the ready. Those scratched have experienced no abnormalities.

It is NOT the case the hind regions are simply invisible - a cursory examination will show that there are NO hindquarters. DNA testing has shown the animal to be female.

I love these! I remember reading a good joke one on /x/ a while ago that turns out to be a baskteball. It is sealed away and no Negroes are allowed to see it because it has an effect on them.
Most of the objects on that list sound like good plot devices for Torchwood or similar sci-fi.

SCP-627
From Scp Wiki

Item#: SCP-627 Special Containment Procedures: Item SCP-627 is to be kept in a soundproof locked container at all times. Personnel interacting with SCP-627 must be equipped with headgear that blocks all outside noise. At no time should the headgear be removed in the presence of SCP-627. Failure to comply will result in immediate termination. Personnel are advised to approach SCP-627 in groups no smaller than three persons.

Description: Recovered from Site 3-A in late 2007. Item SCP-627 is believed to be part of a "training course" for employees of Site 3-A. It is a metallic cube-like object approximately 1.5 cubic meters in volume.

Subjects approaching SCP-627 report that it appears to be sentient and capable of speech. Many find it nearly impossible to separate themselves from it and must be forcibly removed from the area. Some subjects are able to recover from this; many are drawn into a sort of depression, as though they have lost a beloved companion.

It is interesting to note that physical examinations of the object reveal no obvious method of auditory output, and that sound-dampening equipment has proven effective against the hallucinations brought on by exposure to SCP-627.
