It's SCP-001 again! Anonymous
Item# : SCP-001

Object class : safe/keter

Special Containment Procedures: SCP-001 is to be contained in a vacuum within a think layer of air followed by an external layer of ozone retained by SCP-001's own gravitational field. All personnel are allowed to enter SCP-001's atmosphere and its surface. However, under no circumstances should any personnel under security level 4 have access to SCP-001's core section. The organisms on its surface must be observed constantly by the various members of the SCP team. Any anormal behavior must be reported immidiately to level 4 personnel. Any personnel below level 4 must be born and raised on SCP-001, and unaware of level 4 personnel's origin.

Description : SCP-001 is a massive oblate sphere covered with randomly-shaped plates and a significant amount of water. The plates move at a speed of 2 to 7 centimeters after every revolution. SCP-001 is currently known as the only extra-terrestrial planet where life has been found. The natural organisms of SCP-001 are extremely varied in both shapes and intellect. SCP-001's core section is under observation by our best scientists... (continue. I ran out of ideas)

That's my base idea. I'm a horrible writer so you can sexify/improve and finish the story. I also suggest that we should stop looking for SCP-001 and just write other cool SCPs.

SCP-001 can't be anything except mediocre. All those attempts are in vain because we would need something that goes beyond our understanding.

It can't be a powerful monster
It can't be some object that kills
It can't be an object that fucks the laws of reality
It can't be a lucky charm
It can't be God or Adam (way too cliche and childish)
It can't be a little girl with black hair
It can't be anything we could think of

Meh... might be passable as a joke, but honestly, there's ALMOST no way in hell this idea could ever be done well enough for it to be taken seriously.

If you write it in such a way as to make it unclear or difficult to tell that you're taking about the entire Earth, so that the reader only comes to that realization after thinking about it for a bit, THEN it might be useable, but the idea of the Earth being some sort of curiosity or oddity among the cosmos is so played out that it's not surprising anymore.

how about...
a little girl with black hair who is actually God that turns into a powerful monster that kills by fucking with the laws of reality but brings luck to those who are called Adam?

Could someone answer me a few question which this SCP-series has awoken?

First, what exactly does this "Object class" mean, and are there others than safe, keter and euclid? And if I'd ever like to write one should I post it directly to the SCP-wiki or put it somewhere else to be judged appropriate/inappropriate for the wiki? And if I want to make one, am I free to choose whatever number hasn't been used yet?

ugh, just go to the wiki and read it.
It tells you the answers to everything you just asked.

If you ask me, the Word Eater would have been a good choice as SCP-001. Shame he's already SCP-824.
