'sup /x/?

I don't really have much to do for the next few weeks, so I thought I'd kill time by causing some brick shitting.

What I thought I'd do was, I'd write up a whole bunch of mildly unnerving notes, and print them onto small bits of paper. Then, I post them up in the city I live in.

Problem is, I really don't know what I can write on them.

So /x/, tl;dr, let's come up with some relatively short, unnerving creepypasta and scare some lay-folk.

I've got a couple so far.

Do you remember as a child, riding in the car, as the buildings flew past, you'd make out your fingers as a man running across the rooftops?

Of course, you stopped doing that years ago. He still runs alongside you, though. You just never bother to look for him anymore.

To the person reading this: You wrote this note. I am you. At least I was. All of my memories, all the things that make me who I am, are slowly disappearing. They are being replaced by something alien, something not me.

The place, your special spot. The place the world can't touch. It's the one thing that never changed. I hid my diary there. Go there, read the book and find out who you really are.

I can't imagine how many times this has happened.

I greatly approve of this idea :D
>> †If I'm Not Ninja Then† !WHODGNiNjA
Alright, I have an idea.

Note 1) They found me. I don't know how, I don't know why, but they did. I don't have long so I'm going to use the remaining time I have to make sure you find it. We can't let them get it...this is the only chance we have, and we MUST take it. [Coordinates to next note]

Note 2) We always read so much when we were children...we were thrilled by the thought of another world out there, or you know, just expanding upon are own world. Why did we stop reading? Did we realize this world is nothing like that which we dream of? Or is it merely that these lives we live or nothing like that of our fictional heroes? One way or another, you shouldn't stop reading. The stronger your brain is...: *insert a complementing line from a book that you can find in your local library, followed by author's initials*.

I'm kind of tired at the moment, but the basic idea is to continue this trend for maybe seven more notes or such, and it would lead to a small dirt patch. They'd dig at this dirt patch and uncover a cassette that says PLAY ME (in a baggie or something of course). After putting it in a player, they'd hear the following, "What did you expect to find...exactly? Death? Life? You are a fool and my mom got scared and said "You're moving in with your auntie and uncle in Bel-Air."

Of course, most of it would be more elaborate and well-written, but it's just a basic idea. I'm thinking about doing this too, and taping the first note to the local paper's front door.
>> Anonymous
>>757400
Put that on a hospital for extra win!
>> Anonymous
>>757695

That'd actually be cool, but it'd be more effective if we gathered a group of people to do that, and tape the note to the door of almost every major newspaper company in the country.
>> Anonymous

It has been reported that some victims of rape, during the act, would retreat into a fantasy world from which they could not WAKE UP. In this catatonic state, the victim lived in a world just like their normal one, except they weren't being raped. The only way that they realized they needed to WAKE UP was a note they found in their fantasy world. It would tell them about their condition, and tell them to WAKE UP. Even then, it would often take months until they were ready to discard their fantasy world and PLEASE WAKE UP.
>> Anonymous
This is a fantastic idea. Might do this around my college tomorrow. For the lulz.

Suggestion: probably most effective to use fluorescent Post-Its and stick them up. Most people will ignore a little piece of paper, but if they happen upon a Post-It they'll be most likely to read it.

Now you've read it, the loop is broken and this note will never be left.

The Wanderer. Yes, it was... was the Wanderer.
Oh, I fought sleep for days at a time... For when I dreamt, the memories would
return. Memories of the monastery and the evil that had claimed it. Dreams,
memories... I couldn't tell the difference anymore.

And the evil from my dreams followed me in my heels! How had he found me here?
How could this broken shell of a man, barely able to carry the weight of his own
sword, be the burning terror which drove me to hide here?

He seemed to have demons of his own which he struggled to contain.
He was losing.
As I watched, I became convinced that I was truly mad. The terror, the
destruction, the evil that I witnessed--how else could I explain them?

Were these the demons from my dreams, or were they born... within the Wanderer?

Why did I follow him? I don't know. Why do things happen as they do in dreams?
But when he beckoned, I had to follow him. And from that moment, we traveled
together. East... always into the east!

2)
We traveled east, over the mountains and into the vast deserts of broken
lands. As the days passed, my companion told me of himself: that he
had once been a great warrior, and that a dark and sacred burden now weighed
heavily upon him.

We traveled for an eternity across that barren wasteland. How long, I
couldn't say. And always, a dark cloud seemed to follow us, just over the
horizon.
We made camp there that night. Perhaps it was the warm desert wind, or the
sound of the ocean; but for the first time in many weeks, I slept.
3)
My companion drew in the dank, cold air of the tomb. It seemed to...
strengthen him.

I stood in the doorway between light and darkness. What was left of my sanity
implored me not to enter. But that voice was just a whisper now...

As we worked our way deeper and deeper into the crypt, I began to see
a change in my companion. He seemed to be gaining strength! I could barely
see in the gloom, but my companion seemed to know the way.

We came at last to a great hall.
It was then I realized my companion hadn't been gaining strength; he had
been losing what was left of his humanity.

He moved with demonic speed, and then... Then you appeared.

In 1981, a group of people were discovered with unique powers. These powers occurred randomly in those who were born from 1973 to 1983. Upon their discovery, they were locked away their hands held in shackles and thick, metal sheaths preventing the use of their hands. Later, new restraints were added to their mouths, feet, elbows, and knees. Despite all these restraints one managed to escape. Caution is advised. Their power to "ride" inside the perceptions of those who read their writings is a serious security risk, sucker.

- I will try to contact you in your dreams tonight; they are still watching us, do not act out of the ordinary.

- The screams are growing louder, I don't know how much longer I can mute this world from yours.

- The dark messenger calls for you. Do not spurn his call a second time, you will not be granted a third chance.

- If you are reading this, something has gone wrong. For the love of God, stop the experiment before it's too late.

Write out a creepypasta set of instructions. 1-3 sentances, max. Put one word or phrase each on separate peices of paper, alongside what number it is out of the total. Put the coords of the one before it and the one after it on the bottom. Wrap this around so that the one before the first one is the last one, and vice versa. Encode the numbers by either putting them in another language's script or putting them in a diferent base. Maybe put them in I-ching symbols. Leave the most interesting ones where they're most likely to be found.

Have the instructions lead back to you.

They know you are the messiah incarnate. If you can't remember what you were before this life, they will kill you. They have tatoos behind the knee.

-Throw away this note. Do not let them see it.

-Attention: Protocol 19248 has been breached. Do not alert the authorties.

-They always told me not to take candy from strangers...

-That voice in your head; you should listen to it more often.

-Down the rabbit hole, through the looking glass, it's time to wake up; The Operation was Success.

Subconsciously, you knew this note was here.
This is because you wrote it, just before the accident.
So you wouldn't forget to tell yourself:

Please wake up.

You think this note is unimportant?
Just a scrap of paper?
You can't stop thinking about it, about who i am.
After all; i know who you are.

Elizabeth Báthory
Adolf Hitler
Harold Shipman
Osama Bin Laden
Seung-hui Cho (All mass-murderers of sorts, chronological order)
(Leave blank with the current month and year)

These people were inspired by a note like this.
I may not know what was inspired in them, or what will be in you.
Your name is there, even if you can't see it.

And add one in that says, "you have nice legs." If a chick gets it, she'll be offended/creeped out. If a guy gets it, even better.

I suggest putting a note right in the open on a library table or something, and then sitting at another table reading, so you can see if anybody picks it up. One of the notes that tells you to turn around would be best.

Don't let this die: Tonight I'm writing down my faves in a notebook. My mission in life before I die will be to distribute as many of these in as many different cities as possible. I like it when people get to thinking ;) Good Job Anon and others. (Oh, and where do "The Holders" notes come from?? Things are crazy.)
